Comments: Created by Ryan Rangel.
M.U.D. was a product of the 1994 Spider-Man Magazine's "Create Your Own Super Hero or Super-Villain" section that ran through most early issues of the Magazine. In M.U.D.'s case, he was created by then-11-year old Ryan Rangel of Parkville, Missouri. As a fringe character, there is nothing to say M.U.D. existed on Earth-616 but there is equally nothing to suggest he did not either...
M.U.D.'s origin was never given so it was unclear if he was some sort of human mutate or mutant. Perhaps he was a Deviant?
Ignore the tiny Spider-Man on M.U.D.'s surface in the
main image. That tiny Spider-Man was part of an ongoing "Find
Spider-Man" feature going on throughout Spider-Man Magazine I#5. As far
as we know, M.U.D. never actually encountered Spider-Man.
