Forensics Center functioned as a typical forensics lab equipped with
various machinery to allow for proper forensics testing.
History: (Cable
III#150 (fb) - BTS) - The corpse of the External Candra was brought to
the New Orleans Forensics Center morgue, where she was processed as a
"Jane Doe" and readied for examination.
(Cable III#150) - The present-day Cable followed a
time anomaly several years into the past, recruiting that era's
Longshot before visiting New Orleans Forensics Center, where they made
their way into the morgue and terrified the coroner into leaving. Once
they had the morgue to themselves, Cable and Longshot examined Candra's
corpse and Cable had Longshot use his psychometry powers on the corpse,
viewing Candra's recent memories. Upon determining that Candra had been
attacked and fought her hours before dying, Cable and Longshot left the
morgue, allowing the coroner to return to his office. Once outside,
Cable expressed confusion about Candra's death since she was supposed
to be an immortal External and suggested that Candra might have sent a
telepathic distress call to another External, Selene, before dying.
Still standing outside New Orleans Forensics Center, Longshot asked why
Cable didn't go to Selene first instead of recruiting him and Cable
revealed that Selene had previously killed all of the other Externals
excepting Candra. As Cable explained that, given Selene and Candra's
past feuds, he didn't think Selene would be cooperative, a man left New
Orleans Forensics Center, only to see the gun-toting Cable and run back
inside. Thinking perhaps Selene had killed the only other surviving
External, Cable had Longshot accompany him as they flew off, leaving
the New Orleans Forensics Center behind.
