History:
(Daredevil I#358 (fb) - BTS) - Garrison Peabody worked on movies in Hollywood in special effects and illusions. He became acquainted with Quentin Beck, who went on to become the super-villain Mysterio. When many of New York's heroes disappeared in a conflict with Onslaught, Peabody had an idea to scam civilians into purchasing super hero insurance coverage. He set up a company called Citadel Insurance, and teamed up with Mysterio to create illusions around the city that would frighten people into buying more insurance.
(Daredevil I#358) - Peabody invited Foggy Nelson, Rosalind Sharpe, and Matt Murdock to a Citadel Insurance dinner at the Plaza. Mysterio attacked the city that day with illusions of Juggernaut, then as Onslaught at the party that night. When Peabody saw Daredevil (who'd just learned about a man named Watson from the Avengers' butler Edwin Jarvis) attack, he knew he would be exposed, so Peabody quickly disguised himself as Liz Allan, Foggy Nelson's date, and he tried grabbing Foggy and leaving the party early. After seeing the exposed Mysterio retreat, Daredevil punched "Liz" on the jaw, exposing Peabody and foiling his plans.
Comments: Created by Joe Kelly (writer) & Pasqual Ferry (artist).
The character looks like the cartoon Mr. Peabody, the anthropomorphic dog scientist, if he were a human. This can't be a coincidence.
