History:
(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#513 (fb) - BTS) - As a child in Serbia, Sofija saw her family ally with a rebel political movement, committing crimes and doing bad things. Needing a fresh start in life, Sofija emigrated to the United States. She had tattoos on her arms representing violent Serbian nationalism.

(Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive#523.1 (fb) - BTS) - In Serbia, Sofija learned skills like pickpocketing, stealing, weapons, and munitions.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#513) - Sofija applied for a job at the Devil's Kitchen with Mr. Okonkwo (secretly the Black Panther) and he recognized the symbols on her arms, but chose to give her a job as a waitress anyway.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#514 (fb) - BTS) - Brian and Sofija were concerned when Luke Cage came into Devil's Kitchen wanting to talk to Okonkwo; the man showed himself into Okonkwo's office to wait for him.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#514) - When Okonkwo came in for work, Brian Fitzgerald and Sofija warned him about Cage. Soon, Okonkwo and Sofija gave Brian advice on asking his crush out, but Okonkwo rushed to investigate when the bank nearby was surrounded by police. Brian ended up getting taken hostage and wounded in an attack by Vlad the Impaler. Sofija saw the hero Black Panther nearby.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#515) - Sofija saw Brian Fitzgerald to the hospital and waited while he was in surgery. Okonkwo rushed to the hospital, and Sofija told him that she didn't want to know where he had been. Dr. Sheri Holman told Sofija and Okonkwo that Brian had died in surgery.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#516) - Sofija attended Brian's funeral alongside Okonkwo, and they met Brian's uncle. Later, at Devil's Kitchen, Sofija discussed Brian's murder, and Vlad's freedom, with Okonkwo, who, she believed, was busy handling the gang violence in the streets. Sofija spoke to Iris, a woman who kept flirting with Okonkwo, in an attempt to dissuade her. Sofija then went with Iris on a call to investigate child abuse of young Samantha.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#517) - When Romanian men came into the Devil's Kitchen, Sofija called Okonkwo who had her activate a microphone so he could hear the conversation. Later, Okonkwo returned to the Devil's Kitchen to talk to Sofija, but both Vlad and Nicolae Dinu attacked, and Vlad set off a bomb.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#518) - Vlad chose to kill his son Nicolae before escaping, as Sofija, Black Panther, and the newly arrived Luke Cage helped save civilians and the authorities arrived. Cage helped confirm that Okonkwo was actually the Black Panther. Panther refused Cage's help, but he did ask Sofija for a favor. Later, Sofija stopped Iris (who had been identified as a serial killer) from escaping as the police closed in to arrest Iris and Vlad.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#521 (fb) - BTS) - Black Panther rebuilt the Devil's Kitchen and Sofija returned to work.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#521) - Sofija tended to civilians seeking food and medical care at the Devil's Kitchen. When a group of racist men entered, including Julian Chambliss, led by Hate-Monger, Sofija tried offering soup to calm the situation, but she was knocked to the floor. The vigilante American Panther showed up and united the others behind him, leading them in a chant of "Hate!" against immigrants. Sofija led Okonkwo outside to safety so they could strategize. She then saw Homeland Security arrest Okonkwo.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#522) - Hearing of an anti-immigration rally and news of riots in the city, Sofija saw Black Panther setting up an internet station to aid him, and she questioned him about his motives in Hell's Kitchen, agreeing to help him as he planned to exorcise the Hate-Monger from Josh Glenn's body. Sofija joined Panther at the police station to intervene, but the cops apprehended her.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#523) - Black Panther knocked the lights out and Sofija put on night vision goggles to help him fight the Hate-Monger, the American Panther, and their allies. Hate-Monger escaped, and Panther soon defeated him. As Sofija worked to rebuild after the riots ended, she agreed to give Chambliss a job cleaning toilets at Devil's Kitchen.

(Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive#523.1) - Black Panther learned of a new serial killer targeting people he'd saved from crimes, and he asked Sofija for help. They sought out Megan Jeda, the killer's next target, a woman the Black Panther had saved in a bank robbery weeks before. Sofija posed as Megan in her apartment, and was soon attacked by the White Wolf, who tried to strangle her, but she wore an anti-strangulation collar. The police, led by Detective Alex Kurtz, intervened and White Wolf fought back and she was taken hostage. She sparred with White Wolf, replacing his bullets with blanks when he wasn't looking, weakening him in his fight with Black Panther. White Wolf was soon arrested.

(Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive#525) - When Wakandan nationals started getting attacked, Black Panther responded, and he asked Sofija to break into his apartment to get intel for him. He joked that she should never turn evil as she was far too dangerous. She called intel in to Panther, helping him identify one of the Hand's targets as K'Tamo Chatarko.

(Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive#526) - Black Panther took Chatarko, who was badly wounded, to Sofija and ordered her to both watch over her and protect her. Sofija was reluctant until Panther gave her a rifle.

(Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive#527) - Sofija stood guard over Chatarko, who was soon transferred to the Night Nurse for care. Sofija and Black Panther set up a decoy to lure in Lady Bullseye and Typhoid Mary, then attacked the two villainesses and the Hand, flanked by Luke Cage and Falcon. After a massive battle, Lady Bullseye and Typhoid Mary narrowly escaped.

(Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive#528) - Sofija helped hack a Wall Street bank, which would expose money laundering to the F.B.I. and work against Kingpin's plans. While she worked, Falcon and Luke Cage fought off the Hand.

(Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive#529) - As Black Panther and his allies went into final battle with the Kingpin and the Hand, Sofija remained outside, placing a crucial call for the Panther at the right time, which exposed to the Kingpin that his trusted aid Miyu had been captured. Back at the Devil's Kitchen, Panther offered Sofija a home in Wakanda, and she gladly agreed.

Chambliss learned the Wakandan government helped rebuild the place.

(Black Panther: The Man Without Fear#521) - Hearing about Mr. Okonkwo tending to refugees at the restaurant, Chambliss went to warn Okonkwo that refugees were not welcome in his neighborhood. With the Hate-Monger backing him, Chambliss said he was calling the authorities.
