History: (Spider-Man Magazine I#9) - Squid-Man
utilized his superhuman abilities as a supervillain, battling such foes
as Doctor Harpoon and Mister Experiment.
Comments: Created by Jason Noakes.
Squid-Man was a product of the 1994 Spider-Man Magazine's "Create Your Own Super Hero or Super-Villain" section that ran in most earlier issues of the Magazine. In Squid-Man's case, he was created by then-10-year-old Jason Noakes of Albion, Michigan. As a fringe character, Squid-Man was not confirmed to exist on Earth-616 but there was no evidence to say he did not exist on Earth-616 either...
Squid-Man's height & weight were impossible to
approximate, as he was never seen next to any character whose height
& weight had been officially determined.
Squid-Man's origin was never revealed but one might
guess that his hypnotic and matter transformation powers could stem
from his being a mutant. Then again, it's a bit odd that he would
choose the name Squid-Man, given his superhuman powers. Squids aren't
exactly known for their hypnotic or matter transformation abilities.
Perhaps he is a mutant who simply chose to go with a squid-themed
costume...
