History: (Spider-Man Magazine I#6) - The single-bodied Strend and Minth acted as a superhero, battling Doctor Dope, Acid and Hurricane.

Comments: Created by James B. Endres.

Strend and Minth were the products of the 1994 Spider-Man Magazine's "Create Your Own Super Hero or Super-Villain" section that ran in most early issues of the Magazine. In their case, they were created by then-11-year-old James B. Endres of Okreek, South Dakota. As fringe characters, Strend and Minth were not confirmed to exist on Earth-616 but there is nothing to say they don't exist on Earth-616 either...

Strend and Minth's height and weight was impossible to approximate as they were never seen next to a character whose height and weight had been officially determined.

Strend and Minth's origin was never given but, given their unusual names and appearance, I'd be willing to bet they were extraterrestrials.

While other "Create Your Own..." characters have referenced Earth-616 characters like Spider-Man, Doctor Octopus, War Machine, etc., it seems likely that the Hurricane mentioned as an enemy of Strend & Minth was not a previously existing "Hurricane" character, as Harry Kane existed in the Old West era and Albert Potter was, in October 1994, in cryo-sleep. I guess one could argue that Strend & Minth encountered and became enemies with Albert Potter prior to his fighting the Gene Dogs and being placed in cryo-sleep but the "Create Your Own..." section of Spider-Man Magazine often mentioned entirely new characters as enemies of the child-created characters so it seems more likely that the Hurricane in Strend & Minth's "story" was an entirely new Hurricane.
