History:
(Excalibur I#86 (fb) - BTS)
-Threadgold joined the Black Air organization, which had replaced
W.H.O. as the premier British intelligence entity that handled
extranormal activity. Upon learning of Genoshan secrets regarding their
mutate process, Black Air arranged to have Threadgold, Michele Scicluna
and Pete Wisdom visit the European hero team Excalibur and manipulate
them into destroying evidence about the truth of Genosha's mutate
process.
(Excalibur I#86) - Threadgold accompanied Michele Scicluna and Pete Wisdom of Black Air to meet with Excalibur team on Muir Island. Once inside the Muir Island complex, Threadgold remained silent as Michele Scicluna introduced them all as Black Air until Wisdom remarked about Genosha, prompting Excalibur's Meggan to reveal what she knew about Genosha as a country that used mutants as slaves. Threadgold then grimly replied that Excalibur should enjoy their trip there and Scicluna explained to a shocked Excalibur that they were seemingly needed to infiltrate Genosha and help quell the in-fighting there following a supposed economic collapse. When Nightcrawler argued that Black Air couldn't just barge in and order Excalibur into Genosha, Threadgold claimed that Black Air could not act on their own there without having definite proof of the situation in Genosha, which they needed Excalibur to provide. He then suggested that if Excalibur could sleep at night knowing that they had not acted to prevent the loss of life in Genosha, they could go back to bed and Black Air would depart. Threadgold then accompanied Scicluna back to their jet while Pete Wisdom stayed behind and once inside the jet, Threadgold asked Scicluna what she would have done if Excalibur had not believed Scicluna's story, prompting Scicluna to answer that she would have revealed to Excalibur the Braddock family connection to the events in Genosha.
(Excalibur I#87 (fb) - BTS) - Threadgold and Michele Scicluna secretly traveled to Genosha to witness Excalibur's actions there.
(Excalibur I#87) - When Excalibur managed to destroy evidence of the truth behind Genosha's mutate process as Black Air had secretly intended, Threadgold and Michele Scicluna secretly watched from a short distance away as Excalibur escaped the subsequent explosions. Threadgold remarked to Scicluna that, while Excalibur seemed angry, they had accomplished the task Black Air had intended. Scicluna agreed, commenting that despite the evidence being destroyed, the secrets of the truth would eventually rise to the surface and Black Air would be there to skim the secrets off.
(Excalibur I#99) - The London branch of the Hellfire Club visited Black Air's London headquarters and when Threadgold and Michele Scicluna arrived to meet them, the Black Queen remarked that servants from Black Air had arrived. Threadgold quickly reminded the Black Queen that they were still the heads of Black Air and were no one's servants and Scicluna asked the Hellfire Club to excuse Threadgold's remarks before inviting them further inside to the Necromanteion.
(Dark Reign Files (fb) - BTS) - Threadgold remained
with Black Air after they went underground following a failed takeover
of the United Kingdom and the public exposure of their corrupt nature.
(Dark Reign Files - BTS) - When the robotic Quasimodo
prepared reports on various potential threats and/or allies for Norman
Osborn following Osborn's rise to power, he prepared an entry on Black
Air, noting Threadgold as a key member of the recently resurfaced
organization.
