History:
(Daredevil I#277 (fb) - BTS) - Vivian, a woman with major struggles with paranoia, anxiety, and hallucinations, married Daniel, a psychotherapist who saw her as a revolutionary test case. He began restricting her to their home, triggering psychosis on purpose so he could record notes and take videos of her breakdowns. Daniel planned to write a scholarly paper on her. When Vivian talked about wanting to get a job in an art gallery, Daniel forbid it.
(Daredevil I#277) - Vivian had hallucinations of talking to ox skulls while visiting an art gallery, and she rushed away, calling everyone parasites, frightening employees like Bruno. Vivian went shopping for Daniel for Christmas at an Antiques and Curios shop, but another hallucination sent her running into the street, where she ran into blind man, Matt Murdock, and she invited him to dinner, confiding in him along the way about her husband's work. Daniel was angry that she'd brought someone home, but she insisted that Matt stay for dinner. Daniel kept berating Vivian, teasing her about being crazy, as she made dinner, then he was angry she served red wine with fish. Vivian pictured herself bound in chains. Daniel, drunk, showed Murdock a home video of Vivian in session, then Vivian gave Daniel a present, a shrunken head that she didn't remember buying, before she rushed from the room in tears, picturing Daniel as a boy in man's clothes. Murdock saved Vivian from being hit by a car when she rushed into the street. Murdock soon helped Daniel realize that he would lose his wife if he kept her as a patient, and Daniel burned all of his research on her and promised to just be her husband and get her the best treatment out there.
