History:
(Wolverine and Power Pack#3 (fb) - BTS) - In the late
19th Century, James
Howlett was raised as a boy in Canada, living in the country mansion of
his wealthy father John and grandfather .
However, James suffered from allergies and health complications, likely
due to his overactive mutant immune system. John forced his son to
accompany him to New York on a business trip, hoping it would improve
his son's health.
(Wolverine and Power Pack#3) - In New York, while
John attended to estate matters, young James was outside and accosted
by youthful bullies who demanded money. James was terrified, but was
rescued by the sudden appearance of the time-traveling heroic boys,
Franklin Richards and Jack Power. However, Franklin, Jack and James
were soon kidnapped by the muggers and had to be rescued by the other
time-traveling members of Power Pack and the robot H.E.R.B.I.E. James
valued their brief
friendship. Back home, rejuvenated by his adventure, he played in the
yard with two others (likely Dog and Rose counterparts).
(X-Men and Power Pack#1 (fb) - BTS) - James' mutant
powers of advanced healing and retractable bone claws manifested. His
bones were coated with unbreakable Adamantium, likely through the
Weapon X program (see comments). Adopting the name Wolverine, he joined
the heroic
mutant team known as the X-Men. His many adventures were chronicled
and/or fictionalized for popular media consumption, enjoyed
particularly by boys.
(The Avengers and Power Pack Assemble!#3 (fb) - BTS) - Wolverine joined numerous other teams, although his membership with the X-Men and the Avengers endured.
(Wolverine and Power Pack#4 (fb) - BTS) - Wolverine
almost made it onto "Ninja Master", a bizarre competitive
obstacle-course television sports
show based in Japan, but failed to make final selection.
(X-Men and Power Pack#1 (fb) - BTS) - Wolverine
pursued Sabretooth as part of a loose end of the Weapon X program.
(X-Men and Power Pack#1) - Wolverine tracked Sabretooth to a country barn where a children's Halloween costume event was taking place. In attendance were the Power Pack children; as a fan, Jack Power (Mass Master) wore a Wolverine costume. In the forest nearby, Power Pack helped Wolverine capture Sabretooth, with Wolverine admiring Zero-G's teamwork skills. Wolverine stayed to discover Jack was the winner of the costume competition.
(X-Men and Power Pack#3) - At the X-Mansion,
Wolverine passed new mail to Nightcrawler, but was puzzled when
Nightcrawler suddenly teleported away.
(X-Men and Power Pack#4) - Wolverine, Cyclops, Beast
and Nightcrawler were fighting the nefarious Marauders (Prism, Riptide,
Scalphunter, Vertigo) when Power Pack intervened, hoping to help the
X-Men, but instead caused all the heroes to get knocked out. The
Marauders escaped and Wolverine could not detect them. Soon after,
Cyclops chided Power Pack, but was captured by the Marauders after
everyone else had left. Power Pack later rescued Cyclops, who thanked
them, and he was picked up by Wolverine in a Blackbird jet.
(The Avengers and Power Pack Assemble!#3) - In New
York City, Wolverine was on a small team of Avengers that joined
Spider-Man
and and Power Pack fighting advanced armored troops sent by Kang from
10 years in the future (Earth-68326). Kang froze the adult heroes in
chronal disruption fields before casually casting Power Pack back to
his own time.
(The Avengers and Power Pack Assemble!#4) - Timing it
just seconds later, Power Pack returned from the future armed with the
technology to take down Kang, hurling him into the timestream.
This freed the Avengers and disabled the armored troops. Wolverine
carried off an unconscious trooper and complained that kids didn't
clean up their mess.
(Hulk and Power Pack#3) - Identity confusion led to
the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four and other heroes confronting the
Hulk over
recent destructive attacks by a green behemoth (actually the
Abomination, who had since
been apprehended). The Hulk stood his ground, flanked by his friends,
the child super group
Power Pack.
(Hulk and Power Pack#4) - Power Pack were kept away from danger as the combined might of the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four could not stop the enraged Hulk as the violent brawl dragged out until it was discovered that Energizer could absorb gamma radiation. She neutralized the Hulk by touching him, and he reverted to the peaceful Bruce Banner. Wolverine helped Banner up on his feet. However, the gamma radiation soon caused Energizer to gain Hulk-like characteristics, but she discharged all the gamma radiation from her body with a blast into the sky, ending the fight.
(Iron Man and Power Pack#3-4) - Puppet Master had
crafted many miniature versions of super-powered individuals, including
Wolverine, intending to use them some day to control the real-life
versions for his own nefarious ends.
(Wolverine and Power Pack#1 (fb)) - Cyclops chided
Wolverine remotely, telling him to reassess his priorities and loyalties as Wolverine
rode his motorbike in civilian clothes on his way to the Xavier Institute. Passing a
museum, he saw panicked people fleeing and stopped to investigate.
Changing into costume inside, yet disappointed it was only the winged
Sauron,
he still charged in. But Sauron used mind control so that the Power
Pack children
would protect him from Wolverine. (He recognized their scent before
seeing them as a mixture of candy and gym class.)
(Wolverine and Power Pack#1) - Wolverine carefully
knocked the Power Pack children back to their senses using falling
dinosaur bones from an exhibit and together they captured Sauron.
Later, Wolverine invited Power Pack to visit the Xavier Institute.
(Wolverine and Power Pack#2) - At the Xavier
Institute, Wolverine joined Power Pack in the Danger Room for a
training simulation against dinosaurs in the Savage Land. Afterward,
Wolverine encouraged Jack Power to engage in learning by reminding him
that his romantic crush, Kitty Pryde, was delivering the lecture.
Later, despite the Power children's enthusiasm, Wolverine had to remind
them of the importance of keeping a mutant-only space for such a
marginalized community - just before mutant-hunting Sentinels attacked.
Despite their help in felling one Sentinel, Cyclops ordered Wolverine
clear the Power Pack children of the battlefield. The Sentinels kept up
the assault, but would not attack the human Power children; using this
advantage, Power Pack re-entered the fray and took down several
Sentinels, ending the fight. Unfortunately, Mass Master made an
ignorant comment about "choosing" to be a mutant and Power Pack quickly
left embarrassed.
(Wolverine and Power Pack#3) - Power Pack and
H.E.R.B.I.E. returned from a time-traveling adventure where they had
helped
a meek boy. H.E.R.B.I.E. revealed a DNA scan matched that boy with the
adventurer Wolverine, surprising the youths.
(Wolverine and Power Pack#4 (fb) - BTS) - Wolverine
followed an ancient samurai curse that brought him into conflict with
the dire ninja clan, the Hand.
(Wolverine and Power Pack#4) - In Shibuya, Tokyo,
Japan, Power Pack saw Wolverine fight a group of Hand ninjas atop a
skyscraper and leapt to help. But in the midst of the fighting, a Hand
mystic cast a spell that nullified the heroes' powers. Power Pack held
back, but Wolverine unsheathed his claws and charged into the Hand
ninjas, jumping off the building to save Power Pack as the Hand ninjas
followed, only to magically teleport away to safety. Wolverine slowed
his fall by sticking his claws into the building before disappearing
into the crowd.

Presumably Wolverine's powers returned once the Hand ninjas teleported away. His physical stats are taken from his Earth-616 counterpart as the similarities are savage and uncanny.
The various versions of Wolverine recognized on Earth-5631 shown at the Halloween party included Patch, Weapon X, samurai, and even the Amalgam version of Dark Claw!
Wolverine and Power Pack#2 has a great cover of
Wolverine dragged into a "tea party" for Katie Power, but there's no
story context for this.
Earth-5631 would most likely have been destroyed in
the lead up to the multiversal collapse shown in Secret Wars (2015),
but has hopefully
since been rebirthed.
