History:
(Wild Western#45/4 (fb) - BTS) - Along with his Bond
brothers Curly and Moss, the Wyoming Kid established a violent career
of crime,
including in Denton City. The town's sheriff stopped
them and the Wyoming Kid was sent to jail. The Kid swore revenge
and escaped four years later. He rode with his two brothers to Denton
City to kill the sheriff; however, the sheriff was away on business
elsewhere and was due back hours away, leaving the much more civil
Deputy Sheriff Jack Masters in charge.
(Wild Western#45/4) - News reached Masters that the
Bond brothers were about to reach the town. Masters found no townsfolk
who would accept being deputized. The Wyoming Kid wanted to shoot the
acting sheriff himself and the Bond brothers walked up to the lone
Masters, bemused at his call for arrest and his holding back at
drawing, despite getting closer and closer. At around a meter apart,
Masters quickly outdrew and disarmed the Wyoming Kid before punching
him out. The Bond brothers quickly surrendered and they were arrested
once more.

There was another Wyoming Kid outlaw (Hal Dent, reformed) set around this time from Marvel. I'd consider this coincidental, rather than a case of the Dakota Kid, where one was influenced by another.
Interestingly, DC had a character called the Wyoming Kid published around this time.
Curly moss (the names of his brothers) is a type of plant that can be herbal or dried and decorative!

CLARIFICATIONS
:
Wyoming Kid has no known connections to:
Married to Nora and highly knowledgeable in the law,
Jack Masters hailed from the east coast and moved westward to take on
the job as deputy sheriff of the peaceful town of Denton City. While
well liked by the locals, they still referred to him as "Tenderfoot"
because of his metropolitan upbringing. Jack and Nora Masters were
about to leave Denton City as his term was up, but the nefarious
Wyoming Kid and his two Bond brothers came riding into town, seeking
revenge on the sheriff (who was yet to return from business elsewhere).
Dedicated to the law, the Deputy Sheriff tried to deputize townsfolk to
stop the outlaws, but they ran away afraid, so he confronted the foes
(against his wife's pleas). Masters knew his accuracy was bad but his
draw was quick. The bemused bandits approached Masters until they were
a meter apart, but the Wyoming Kid was outdrawn, then punched out by
Masters. The other brothers quickly surrendered and arrested. Having
seen him prove himself, the townsfolk embraced him as a local, and Jack
and Nora Masters decided to stay in Denton City.
