Powers/Abilities: The Arch-Fiend of Pit are powerful demons originating from an unrevealed realm. This specific demon had the ability to take on the appearance of a minor demon, in its true form it possessed six skull-like heads, a wide array of arms, claws and two wings. The Arch-Fiend of Pit had red skin. The demon presumably had the power to travel between realms and manifest itself on Earth.

Eyes: Yellow, no visible irises

Traits: The Arch-Fiend of Pit are highly intelligent and cunning demons.

History:

(Magik II#1 - BTS) - For unrevealed reasons one of the Arch-Fiend of Pit set out to make his way to Earth whilst taken on the appearance of a minor ghoul to keep its true identity a secret.

(Magik II#1) - Through unrevealed means the Arch-Fiend of Pit manifested itself on Earth, in an alleyway near New York's Flatiron Building. However, the demon's sudden appearance hadn't gone unnoticed as Mistress of Limbo (Otherplace), Amanda Sefton witnessed the demon's arrival. Although Sefton challenged the demon it merely snarled and tried to flee, prompting Sefton to engage it. As the two fought the Arch-Fiend of Pit eventually revealed its true form. During a fierce fight Sefton was able cut of the demon's tongue with her horns after which she killed the beast with the Soulsword. As the demon's remains burned, Sefton scurried away into the night.

As of yet it's been unrevealed who or what the arch-fiend of pit are. Then ruler of Limbo (Otherplace), Amanda Sefton recognized the creature as an Arch-Fiend of Pit. It seems likely they were a group of powerful hellish demons originating from somewhere in the Splinter Realms.

It's possible the Arch-Fiend of Pit were part of the billion of fighting beings charged into fray against the Archenemy after the sounding of the Horn of Harrowing as seen in Magik II#4.
