History:
(Silver & Fortune#1 - BTS)
- Berecz worked for Silver Sable and her Wild Pack when he decided to
change his loyalty. Convinced by Andreas Vadas, traitor and
second-in-command at Silver Sable International, Berecz started to
follow Vadas' agenda.
Berecz was only one of the first Wild Pack members to join
Vadas in a plot that connected them all to a terrorist organization
called the Sword of Glory.
Vadas' team orchestrated the kidnapping and of
people and turn them into sleeper assassins without will by injecting them with a serum.
(Silver & Fortune#1 (fb) - BTS) - Berecz was fired by Silver Sable. She scared him so much that he jumped out of the window.
(Silver & Fortune#1 - BTS / Silver & Fortune#4 (fb) - BTS) - Berecz was assigned by Vadas to find a suitable sleeper agent who could kill Kirk Applewood if necessary. Applewood, vice president of Smith-Locke Aerospace was investigating the illicit export activity of weapons by Smith-Locke to the terrorists of the Sword of Glory. The murder of Applewood would have been a sort of bonus in the business between Silver Wolf and the Sword of Glory.
Unaware that some of those illegal
activities had already been uncovered and recorded by "Bad" Sebastian, a
private investigator, Berecz managed to meet Sam Kurokawa at Smith-Locke Aerospace in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Sam was a marketing advisor at Smith-Locke, who was
chosen by Berecz because she worked in close proximity with Applewood;
she could become the perfect killer. Berecz injected Sam with the serum and programmed her with
and conditioned her to respond to a triggering phrase. When the
the triggering phrase that would activate her. The serum would condition
Sam to the point of killing one of the people closest to her.
Sam continued her normal life, unaware that she had
become a sleeper assassin.
(Sable & Fortune#1-3 - BTS) - Silver Sable, helped
by Dominic Fortune and Jasper Angevine, discovered the Wild Pack's
illegal activities and killed the leader of Sword of Glory. They
managed to send an abort command to all the rogue Wild Pack agents
involved in the control of the sleeper assassins.
(Sable & Fortune#4 - BTS) - Berecz
messed things up. When he received the abort command he
wrongly assumed that it was the go order, so he activated Sam
Kurokawa. Sam killed Applewood and then fled to San Diego. Berecz did not
follow her because the mission had been completed.
(Sable & Fortune#4) - Two days later, in a safehouse in Budapest, the ex-Wild Pack member was captured
and battered by Silver Sable. Dominc Fortune and Sable were tracking
down all the sleeper agents, in order to shut the terror operation down.
Berecz' confession helped Sable and Fortune to find Kurokawa and inject
her with the antidote.

Yes, Berecz misread the written order. A very high quality of duty was present in the Wild Pack in those days. No wonder that Silver Sable dissolved the Wild Pack.
