History:
(Warlock
and the Infinity Watch#24 (fb) - BTS) - Borgeddon was worshipped by the
Trolls of Asgard as the Heavenly aspect that looked fondly upon their
empire.
Geirrodur noted that he may be even more ancient than Asgard itself.
Borgeddon lived in a cavern -- which, according to Geirrodur, was as old as any place on Asgard -- that narrowly exceeded his reach.
To stay in Borgeddon's good graces, the Trolls regularly made sacrifices to him, lowering sacrificial victims down to him.
(Warlock and the Infinity Watch#24) - After the Infinity Watch (Drax, Gamora, Maxam, Moondragon, Pip, Adam Warlock) and the Silver Surfer were captured by Trolls and held in stasis by the fragrance of the Valkisack vines, Geirrodur announced his intent to sacrifice them to Borgeddon to reap great honor on their clan.
However, the troll witch identified Pip as a troll, and even though he was not of Asgard, she insisted that by holy law he had certain rights, notably the right to trial by combat, due him before he could be sacrificed. Geirrodur informed Pip of this right, although regardless of his success, his allies -- as non-trolls -- would still be sacrificed to Borgeddon. When Pip asked who that was, the witch noted that there would be no harm in showing him, and Geirrodur added that it might even spur him into at least an entertaining battle ritual.
Geirrodur then led Pip through the caverns, describing Borgeddon and his role with the Trolls. When Geirrodur showed him the Cathedral of Borgeddon, Pip was less than impressed with the pit/vertical tunnel, noting it to be "spiffy" and asking who did his decorating.
Noting Borgeddon's potential age, Geirrodur dropped a rock down the pit/tunnel, and a deep roar preceded Borgeddon's sudden arrival at the top of the tunnel. Geirrodur assured the startled Pip that Borgeddon's reach did not extend to their level: "Win your trial by combat, and you need not fear Borgeddon."
(Warlock and the Infinity Watch#24 - BTS) - Allowed a surrogate, Pip chose Adam Warlock, who stalled for time while battling Olik the Troll until Pip could free the rest of the Infinity Watch, and they departed the Troll's realm.

Is Borgeddon the spawn or descendant of Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent, and/or associated with any other Asgardian creatures? Who knows? There's no information beyond what is revealed herein.
Geirrodur refers to Borgeddon in masculine pronouns, for whatever that's worth...
