History: (Contest of Champions I#2 (fb) - BTS) - While he was in his Joe Fixit persona, Bruce Banner was abducted from Earth-15439 to participate in the Contest of Champions held between the Collector and the Grandmaster, two Elders of the Universe from Reality-616. The contest for the ownership of the ISO-Sphere, a raw form of Iso-8 formed in then-recent multiversal renewal that granted its owner reality-altering powers, was held in the ruins of the Battleworld of Reality-15513. Joe Fixit was selected to fight for the Grandmaster's Yellow Team by his Summoner, the Punisher of 2099 A.D. (Jacob Gallows).
(Contest
of Champions I#1 - (fb) - BTS) - In a match held in a section of
the Battleworld's
Valley of Flame, Joe Fixit and his fellow Yellow Team contestants
Moon Boy, the Devil Hydrasaur (both
from a Hydra-controlled reality) and Venom
(Eddie Brock of Earth-26615) were set up against Red
Team's Iron Man (Tony Stark), Gamora and Outlaw (Nigel Higgins),
all
from Earth-616.
Grabbing hold of Iron Man, Joe Fixit began punching him.
(Contest of Champions I#1) - Tony called for Gamora's help, but Outlaw showed up instead and, seeing the situation, threw a stun grenade at them, blinding Joe while Iron Man was protected by his armor. Tony called out to the Hulk, but Fixit angrily corrected the name. Taking advantage of Joe's momentary distraction, Tony hit him with a unibeam from his armor's chest reactor, knocking Joe out and eliminating him from the match, which was won by the Red Team.
(Contest of Champions I#3 - BTS) - Joe Fixit was not selected for the next match, which took place in an area of the former Kingdom of Manhattan now designated as "Ultimate End." Another Hulk from the Yellow Team, Rick Jones of Earth-9390, took his place instead.
(Contest of Champions I#5) - As the Grandmaster's side kept losing and his portion of the ISO-Sphere kept shrinking, he and Gallows agreed to go all-out in the next match and ordered the Yellow Team to execute the entire opposing side. Some, like Joe and Sentry (Robert Reynolds of Earth-1611) were reluctant but Gallows gave them no choice and sent them to the arena in Deadlands/Perfection alongside Venom, Bullseye (Elektra Natchios of Earth-16034) and Madame Hydra (Ophelia Sarkissian of Earth-64164). As the Yellow Team looked for their opponents, Joe was the first to hear a whistling sound, which turned out be the axe of Reality-616's Ares, Greek god of war, who landed on top of Joe and beheaded him. After Stick of the Red Team and Sentry of the Yellow Team revealed their secret plan to abandon the Contest and return everyone to their homes, Sentry lamented that this would not be the case for the late Joe.

Joe Fixit's height and weight are approximated from his Grey Hulk counterpart of Earth-616.
As mentioned in All-New, All-Different Marvel Point One#1, while all contestants on the Red Team are from Earth-616, each member of the Yellow Team is from a different world in the Multiverse.
It's likely that this Joe
Fixit has many of the same family members as the 616 Hulk, but in
the absence of specific info, it's not certain enough to list any of
them here. - Loki
While it's Appendix policy to include major moments like character deaths in entries, Joe's demise happens largely off-panel. We see Ares dropping down on Joe, we see Ares' face as he strikes while making a comment about "not sticking your neck out," and we see Joe's body on the ground but everything above the mid-chest is off panel. Venom does confirm verbally that Joe was decapitated though, so he definitely bought it. Also, though it's not relevant for the history above as it happened after Joe's demise, but since the history mentions Stick and Sentry's plan because of Sentry's Joe-related comment, it's worth clarifying that Stick and Sentry were prevented from returning everyone home by Punisher 2099. - Loki
