History:
(Thanos II#5 (fb) - BTS) - An alien from Strillen-6, Daak was appointed
warden of a deep space Shi'ar-designed prison, one whose location was
kept light years away from colonized planets and sentient life, and one
designed to hold the most dangerous prisoners in the universe. The
prison, rigged with advanced security systems, was rigged to
self-destruct if any rescue or escape was attempted. Daak oversaw the
delivery of a badly wounded Thanos, and the villain was placed in the
cell reserved for the most dangerous prisoners. The Imperial Guard
stood by as Thanos was placed in his cell.
(Thanos II#5) - Officer Glyk delivered the helm of Thanos to Daak, who predicted that Thanos wouldn't last the night due to his injuries, so Daak chose to dismiss the Imperial Guard. Daak entered Thanos' cell and taunted Thanos for being weak, but Thanos abruptly rose up and attacked Daak, ripping off his arm and then using Daak's hand to escape. Thanos battled the guards as he escaped his cell.
(Thanos II#6 - BTS) - Thanos escaped the prison, which self-destructed behind him.
