History:

(Sun Girl#1/1 (fb) - BTS) - The Chief of Police left the city on unrevealed matters. His secretary, Glenn Darwin, secretly informed his criminal connections where police would not be stationed so that they could raid the local bank and the raids began the day after the chief left. The bank robberies continued for several weeks unsolved, although vigilante Sun Girl stopped several.

(Sun Girl#1/1) - Sun Girl brought in the latest small gang of robbers into the police station for arrest. Wanting to speak to the chief, she instead had to see Darwin, finding him in a dark office using her wrist-mounted Sun Beam Ray. She told Darwin that she was using herself as bait by announcing on radio she knew the identity of the robberies' mastermind. Panicked, Darwin had thugs try to kill her on her way, but she instead violently interrogated one of the assassins. Sun Girl returned to Darwin's upstairs office and told him she knew he was behind it all. He reached for a gun to kill her, but was too late. She forced a confession from Darwin, bound him in rope and then had him arrested.
