History:
(Thunderstrike I#9) - At the offices of Rave Architectural and Interior
Design Unlimited, Marty and his co-worker Chandra O'Keefe found Eric
staring at his drawing board. Marty suggested Eric was staring at his
designs as though he were renovating the Sistine Chapel rather than a
local gourmet meat mart. Eric had invited Marty and Chandra to his new
loft's housewarming party and Marty asked for details about the party.
Marty wondered if there would be plenty of "babes" or if he should
bring a few dozen of his own. "After all... Marty Dennis has a certain
reputation to uphold!" Chandra called Marty a sleaze but just then,
their boss Barbara Rave chimed in, saying Marty must be a talented
sleaze to be working for her. At the end of the business day, Marty
invited Eric to the pub with him and Chandra but Eric claimed he had to
run an errand. That evening, Marty and Chandra came to the party and
happened to notice a noise like thunder - unaware it was the villain
Bloodaxe reclaiming her power.
(Thunderstrike I#10) - One day at Rave, Marty took notice of the recent spate of robberies committed by a Thor impostor. Marty remarked that he never thought he'd agree with J. Jonah Jameson but that Jameson was right about costumed vigilantes. Chandra disputed the idea that all super heroes were bad and Marty admitted he liked Captain America but noted that, recently, Daredevil had been replaced by a "psycho."
(Spider-Man Unlimited I#6) - Marty overheard Chandra and Eric talking about a Daily Bugle article that claimed Spider-Man had attacked a helpless civilian. Marty believed that costumed vigilantes were "yesterday's solution" and that because they were "a breed apart from the rest of us," it made them "politically incorrect." When Chandra wondered why super heroes hid behind masks, Marty cynically suggested it was for merchandising benefits. Marty invited Chandra and Eric to the pub with him to continue the conversation but Eric claimed he had to leave and run an errand.
