Comments: Created by Michael Cook and Christian Gorny.

Another of the lost projects of Marvel UK, Gene Machine was meant to be the title star of his own miniseries in late 1992 or early 1993 per an advert in Comics International#24 (Autumn 1992).  The series was also plugged in the Stan's Soapbox section of Bullpen Bulletins across the entire U.S. Marvel line in the January 1993 issues - see the middle column in the image to the left. All the other series mentioned came out (assuming that Team Helix was an early name for Genetix and Death Rattle became Death Wreck). In 1993 his name was trademarked in anticipation of the series' release, but with the art coming in slowly, the series was still literally on the drawing board when Marvel UK hit its financial woes.

The scripts were completed but only the first few pages were drawn, but as far as I know the only image of the character that made it to public viewing is the one above, which comes from a Marvel UK promotional poster. The sparse history and bio info above come from the Comics International solicit. It doesn't specify if Wolverine, Thor and Sasquatch were friends or foes, but this being comics, I'd guess they'd have been enemies to begin with and fought him over some misunderstanding, then he'd have faced his real nemesis, possibly with their help.
