History:
(Paradise X I#3 (fb) ) - Jean Grey's mutant powers manifested themselves
when she watched her best friend Annie die in a car accident. Sensing
her friend's final moments, the young and inexperienced Jean Grey had no
way to shut off her empathic abilities. She became a lodestone for human
suffering, unable to control the influx of overpowering emotions. As she
grew older, her telekinesis manifested itself. With no proper training
to control these abilities, people around her started to believe she was
a witch.
(Paradise X I#3 (fb) - BTS) - Jean Grey's subconscious cries for help
were picked up by professor Charles Xavier who was instrumental in
helping the young woman master her powers. She became one of his
students at the School for Gifted Youngsters.
(Earth X I#0 (fb)) - Jean Grey served alongside Beast,
Cyclops, Angel and Iceman as professor Charles Xavier's first X-Men
recruits.
(Earth X I#0.5 (fb) ) - The X-Men's earliest exploits were noticed by
SHIELD, who monitored their confrontation against Magneto.
(Universe X I#3 (fb) ) - Jean Grey and the X-Men went to the Savage Land
to seek out the mysterious Ka-Zar.
(4: A Universe X Special (fb) ) - Jean Grey and the X-Men attended the
wedding of Reed Richards and Sue Storm.
(Paradise X I#3 (fb) ) - Over time, Jean fell in love with her teammate
Cyclops.
(Paradise X I#4 (fb)) - As time moved on, the X-Men's line
up expanded as the team welcomed new members including Banshee,
Colossus, Storm, Wolverine and Thunderbird.
(Earth X I#6 (fb)) - Jean Grey and Scott
Summers remained very much in love, but Wolverine also developed
feelings for her.
(Paradise X I#4 (fb) ) - During a mission in space, Jean Grey was
ready to sacrifice her life to keep the X-Men safe. She was saved by the
Phoenix entity that placed her form in restorative stasis. The Phoenix
took Jean's form and place among the X-Men.
(Paradise X I#4 - BTS) - After the Phoenix vanished, Jean was located
and revived. She resumed her relationship with Cyclops, but their love
was nowhere near as strong and pure.
(Paradise X I#6 (fb)) - Logan pursued and eventually won
the heart of Jean Grey. Both continued to serve with the X-Men,
celebrating their love by posing for a photograph.
Paradise X: Heralds I#3 (fb) ) -
Jean Grey attended the funeral of her mentor Charles Xavier.
(Earth X# I5 - BTS) - Logan and Jean decided to leave
the X-Men to marry, move in together and enjoy a "normal" life.
(Earth X I#11 (fb) - BTS) - Jean and Logan lived
together in a tiny New York apartment for ten years. Due to unrevealed
circumstances, Jean lost her telepathic powers.
(Earth X I#5 - BTS) - Over time, their marriage grew
toxic. Logan found himself deeply frustrated with his life and turned
to alcoholism for comfort. Over time, he consumed so much alcohol even
his healing factor couldn't keep up, causing him to grow a gut and
lose his hair. Jean also gained considerable weight and was powerless
to stop her husband's downward spiral and suffered his verbal abuse.
(Earth X I#0 - BTS) - Every telepathic mind on the planet instantly
perished in anguish at the birth of the massively powerful omnipath
who would be known as the Skull.
(Earth X I#5) - During a non-specific day Logan sat in
his lazy chair watching television as he yelled at Jean to get him
another brew, visibly irritated by his manners Jean told him to
stagger to the fridge himself as the exercise would do him good. He
then noted he was "sorry" he wasn't "Slim" (Scott Summers) for her
taste.
(Earth
X I#11) - In their tiny apartment, Jean and Logan learned the mind
controlling Skull
and his ever growing armies were on their way to conquer the United
States. Disappointed in her husband Jean urged Logan to get involved
only to be told to shut her mouth. Having had enough of living with
a pig, Jean packed her bags and decided to leave him, in an effort
to really hurt Logan she "revealed" she was in fact her clone
Madelyne Pryor, after which she left. Wolverine was unaware it was a
lie.
(Paradise X I#3 - BTS) - Jean Grey was formally invited to the wedding of King Britain (Brian Braddock) and Queen Medusa of the Inhumans, along with many other heroes.
(Paradise X I#3) - Jean arrived at Windsor Castle in England where she witnessed the wedding ceremony between King Britain and Queen Medusa. During the proceedings, she found herself sitting next to Logan. Later at the wedding reception Logan confronted her, still thinking Jean was Madelyne. Jean came clean: it had all been a lie to "snikt" him. Visibly hurt, Logan admitted his senses weren't what they used to be.

Unless otherwise specified, Jean's life followed a similar path to her
Earth-616 counterpart until she was revived from the restorative stasis
at the bottom of Jamaica Bay. From that point on, she left Cyclops and
fell in love with Wolverine.
One of the great things about the Earth/Universe/Paradise
X epic is it consistently gave minor characters from Earth-616 pivotal
roles while sidelining fan favorites like Jean Grey and Wolverine. Turns
out you *can* save all of creation without a clawed canuck and the bird
that won't die. Who knew!
Just how King Britain and Queen Medusa got a hold of Jean and why they
wanted her to attend their wedding will remain a mystery for the ages.
