History:
(Power
Line#1 (fb) - BTS) - Barbara lived on the plantation of her parents,
Michael and Christina Guillermos, in Venezuela, and she was part of the
extended Guillermos family, who feuded with the criminal Ravenscore
family; both groups were composed of Shadows. She was the elder of two
children, a few years older than her brother, Victor.
She may or may not have been involved in a relationship with Emmanuel, a member of the extended Guillermos family.
(Power Line#1 (fb)) - As Michael prepared for a meeting with Tyler Ravenscore, Barbara asked her father how he could agree to see "that pig." Barbara continued, noting the past relationship between their families, but Michael silenced her, noting that a feud was not the legacy he wished to leave his children.
The arriving Tyler complimented Michael on his decision, noting that children were so important.
After Michael noted they weren't there for pleasantries, Tyler advised that their discussion was between them, man to man, and not for his wife and children. Michael countered that this was a family matter and that his family would stay, and Tyler accepted this before noting that Dirk, Tyler's son and the leader of the Ravenscore family, had decided that the Ravenscore-Guillermos feud had gone on centuries too long and that he was there because they wanted to see all the hatred and bitterness done away with.
Michael noted that the Raven scores' criminal interest and drug running were still of great concern to his family, and Tyler replied that he was certain that their two separate outlooks could be reduced to one of mutual agreement. When Barbara asked how Tyler expected to get their two families to see eye-to-eye, Tyler told her "By doing away with your family, of course" as he opened a portal allowing numerous powered and/or armed members of the Ravenscore family to enter the Guillermos villa.
After one of the Ravenscores' men blasted Christina in the back, Barbara urged her distraught brother to not look and to instead raise his force field. Barbara projected fiery blasts at the attacking Ravenscores, but soon after, Emmanuel was taken out by gunfire, calling out to Barbara as he died, and she echoed his name before falling by a hail of gunfire despite Victor's weak field.
(Power Line#1 (fb) - BTS) - Michael used his telekinetic power to hurl Victor out of the villa and yelled "RUN!" as a large and powerful shadow apparently struck and/or clawed him from behind. Protected from a rough landing by his weak field, Victor ran as the plantation was engulfed in flames and he heard the sounds of cruel laughter and death.Comments: Created by D.G. Chichester, Margaret Clark, David Ross, and Bob McLeod.
In case you're not familiar with the Shadowline, here's your primer.
Victor's weak field offered minimal protection; his father teased him that it was good for keeping away mosquitoes. It was later complimented/mutually enhanced by the powers of Lenore Castle, with whom he partnered in Powerline.
