History:
(
Ruins of Ravencroft: Sabretooth#1) - In 1820 in a part of Westchester County that seemed to cursed, with a centuries-long history of weird events taking place within the region, a Spirit of Vengeance arose that resembled the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow legend.

(Ghost Rider: Heaven's on Fire #6 - BTS) - Presumably like all past Ghost Riders, the Headless Horseman was revived to take part in defending Heaven from both the rogue angel Zadkiel and then Kid Blackheart's demon army.

Comments: Created by Frank Tieri and Guillermo Sanna.

It's not actually confirmed in the story what this Spirit of Vengeance is called. Though he clearly resembles Sleepy Hollow's Headless Horseman, it's more likely that he assumed that appearance because of the pre-existing legend rather than was the one who inspired it, given that we know Spirits of Vengeance have a tendency to chose their forms based on existing local myths and that while Washington Irving's short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was published in 1820, within the Marvel universe we know it was inspired by a real ghost whose existence goes back to the 1770s, and hence who pre-dates this Spirit too. Was this Spirit also called the Headless Horseman? That seems likely, but for all we know he might have been the Haunting Hessian or Burning Brigand.

With only a single panel appearance thus far it's not possible to gauge his height.
