History: (Savage Avengers I#12) - As Doctor Strange
and Elektra departed Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum with intent to recruit
other mystics against the Hyborian sorcerer Kulan Gath,
Horace pulled up to the Sanctum with his horse and buggy, greeting the
Doctor. Doctor Strange thanked Horace for the ride and Horace watched
as Doctor Strange and Elektra both boarded his buggy. Horace then
transported Strange and Elektra to the Land of Permanent Midnight,
where death and life meet on the road, and he then patiently waited as
Doctor Strange and Elektra recruited Brother Voodoo from the Swamps of
Ogun. Horace then remained silent as Doctor Strange and Elektra
returned to his buggy in preparation for returning to the Sanctum
Sanctorum.
Comments: Created by Gerry Duggan and Adam Gorham.
It was unclear if Horace was a human who had been forced to serve as a chauffeur after dying (and becoming a skeleton) (or something) or if he was a non-human skeletal being from another (possibly mystic) dimension.
Horace's height was difficult to approximate, as he
was only ever seen sitting on his buggy and not standing up next to
another character. His weight is approximately by referencing the
approximate weight of a human skeleton. Certainly, he may weigh a
little bit more depending on how much clothing sits on his bones. As a
skeleton, he had no hair or eyes (just empty sockets).
