History:
(Marvel 2-in-One II#7 (fb) - BTS) - Dr. Rachna Koul saw her sister
Disha Koul succumb to a medical crisis and end up braindead. She began
devising plans to find a healthy version of her sister in another
reality and to overwrite her own sister with the alternate one.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#3 (fb) - BTS) - Koul set up an advanced base in the remote area of Jack Pine, Wyoming, where she worked in imperiumology, or the study of super powers. She developed a reputation of being able to grant or enhance super powers for those that hired her. When Hercules flew too close to her once, she shot down his Quinjet. After interviewing him, she realized he was there to help fix his god power, and she aided him in repairing the part of him that absorbed and repelled power, restoring his superhuman strength. Koul began wearing a zeroparticle enhanced artificial hand, with metal that she could reform to protect herself. Koul also studied energy sources from other dimensions, realizing that energy could not be transported from one realm to another.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#1) - At the Center for Space and Dimensional Exploration, Koul saw the Thing present the Fantastic Award, a grant for those advancing scientific exploration. She approached the Thing outside, making brief casual small talk.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#3 (fb) - BTS) - Hydro-Man hired Koul to repair his powers.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#3) - Hercules brought Thing and Human Torch to see Koul in Wyoming, and she was furious about being interrupted. When the Human Torch revealed he needed help getting his powers working again, and she revealed that it would cost in the 250,000 to 750,000 dollar range. Hydro-Man broke out of his containment unit and fought the heroes. When Hydro-Man attacked Koul, thinking she had set him up, she knocked him aside with her artificial hand before she kicked him out, making him leave through the toilet, after making sure his money had cleared. Koul initially refused to help the Human Torch as he said he couldn't pay her, but then she saw that the Thing had a Multisect, or a device capable of opening doors to new dimensions and alternate realities. Koul promised to help them with their powers if they agreed to take her with them when they used the device. Koul explained that the Thing was also losing his powers and that he and Torch were tethered to the other two members of the Fantastic Four, and that they would keep getting weaker until they found the others.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#4) - Koul brought Dee flowers and told her she'd found a solution and that she'd be back soon. Wearing a new green-and-white skin-tight suit, Koul joined Human Torch and Thing, and met Alicia Masters and Spider-Man, as they prepared to use the Multisect. Koul activated the Multisect, which propelled she, Thing, and Torch into the Multiplane (void between dimensions) before landing them in another reality. There, she sent the Thing and Torch away then went off to search on her own quest.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#5) - After finding that reality's Dee also in a coma, Koul got a call from the Human Torch, who said this world was doomed, and she told him she'd made a mistake and would recalibrate the Multisect.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#5 - BTS) - Koul conferred with Iron Man (Victor von Doom), who had followed the trio to that reality from Earth-616.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#5) - Koul and Iron Man rejoined with Thing and the Human Torch, and they met that reality's S.H.I.E.L.D., which included many super heroes, and discussed the threat of that reality's Doctor Doom, who possessed the powers of Galactus and had consumed most of the universe. Koul shared her theories on the power bonds between the Fantastic Four with that reality's Reed Richards. Soon, the Galactus-powered Doom closed in.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#6) - Koul accompanied Thing, Iron Man, Human Torch, and S.H.I.E.L.D. into space and she helped monitor Thing as he used Pym Particles to grow to giant-size and confront the Galactus-powered Doom. She then used a Luminet to help power the Human Torch to the size of a small sun. Soon, the evil Doom was defeated, but Emma Frost ended up killing Doom and taking his place as Galactus, focusing on restoring life in the universe. As they buried Doom, Koul saw the Silver Surfer fly off to help Frost.
(Marvel 2-in-One Annual II#1) - Koul continued adventuring with Thing, Human Torch, and Iron Man.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#7 (fb) - BTS) - Koul and the others continued hopping to different realities.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#7) - In a new reality, she snuck off on her own again. When the rest of the group were captured by the Spider and told to battle mutated monsters. Koul rushed into the battleground, having realized her sister Disha was one of the monsters there, but she had just died in combat. Koul finally confessed to her allies about her quest to find another version of her sister. After Iron Man teleported the foursome out of there, Koul activated the Multisect, determined to find another version of Disha elsewhere, and she pulled Iron Man with her on accident, abandoning Thing and Human Torch in the Spider's reality.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#12 (fb) - BTS) - Koul returned to her own Earth, and found the Mad Thinker with a new villainous Fantastic Four in her home, having used her machines to grant powers to others (including Lumen, Smash, and Goodfire). Shortly after, the Mole Man approached Koul, wanting her to grant him the power to control monsters, but she wanted nothing to do with criminals any longer and she turned the Mole Man down. Mole Man vowed to force Koul to give him powers. Later, she was visiting Disha in the hospital when she heard monsters attacking nearby, and she realized Mole Man had come for revenge. Invisible Woman grabbed Koul in a force bubble and rushed to the hospital, where Mole Man threatened Disha's life.
(Marvel 2-in-One II#12) - Finding the Human Torch and Invisible Woman fighting the monsters, Koul used her hand, turning it into a spike to kill a monster, as she pointed out to the heroes that the monsters weren't what they appeared to be. The Human Torch, suspecting Koul initially for being behind the monsters, yelled out that she was a traitor. Koul defeated another monster, revealing it was a robot. Mr. Fantastic and the Thing arrived, stopping the Mole Man, then she apologized to the heroes for her actions, and they agreed to look into Disha's case.
