History:
(U.S. Avengers I#5 (fb) - BTS) - A Shi'ar Superguardian, Earth native
Smasher was stationed at the Shi'ar colony planet Kr'ii-VI.
(U.S. Avengers I#5) - Cannonball and Smasher patrolled
K'rii-VI. As
they patrolled, Smasher noticed Cannonball seemed distracted and asked
him to hurry up, as she didn't want to let criminals get away on their
son Joshie's first patrol. The criminals attempted to escape via air
and fired at the two heroes, prompting Cannonball to ask if perhaps it
might be a bit dangerous to bring their toddler son on patrol with him.
Smasher assured Cannonball their son's blast field was stronger than
Cannonball's and asked what was really bothering him, to which
Cannonball replied that the commute to Earth and back to K'rii-VI was
becoming too much. The two continued discussing the matter as they
easily apprehended the criminals and as they returned to K'rii-VI's
surface, Cannonball admitted that he missed Earth. Reminding Cannonball
that, while they would never forget nor let Joshie forget Earth,
K'rii-VI was their home planet now too and Cannonball agreed,
ultimately deciding he would quit the U.S. Avengers squad.
(U.S. Avengers I#11 - BTS) - After Cannonball was
captured and sold by an alien slave trader, he wound up on the Skrull
planet Kral X and asked Howard Mason, the man who had purchased him, if
he could remove his chains, as he had friends that were likely worried
about him and a family on K'rii-VI. Upon hearing the planet name, Mason
remarked that it sounded like a Shi'ar colony world and commented that
it didn't sound like home to him with all of the hustle and bustle,
flying cars and aliens wandering the streets.
(Merry X-Men Holiday Special#1/15) - As Cannonball,
Smasher and Joshie flew past 37th Floogsbury on K'rii-VI, Cannonball
noted the various holiday decorations around the area and remarked to
Smasher that it was nice to be home for the holidays. Smasher quickly
reminded him that Earth wasn't the only planet to have a winter
solstice and Cannonball admitted that seeing all of the decorations put
him in the holiday spirit as well. He then passed a Glorpian and wished
the alien Merry Christmas, only to be met by animosity. The Glorpian,
unaware of what Christmas even was, expressed hate at the "culture war"
on the holiday of Glorpsday and claimed that it was just like
"Glarbocks" and their "blue kaffee" cups all over again. The Glorpian
then exclaimed that Cannonball would not spread his cultural "Zn'rxism"
on K'rii-VI and that it was still a Glorpian planet to him. As the
Glorpian continued ranting, Cannonball silently flew off, remarking
that people were the same no matter where you were, and a smiling
Smasher remarked "Glorp bless us. Every one."
