History:
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#19/2 (fb) - BTS) - Malcolm Murphy, an
archaeologist, well known for his mystical discoveries, went looking
for a Incan tribal burial ground in the Peruvian rainforest near Machu
Picchu. Murphy was apprehended by the Genesis Coalition, who also
hunted and captured a tiger. Dr. Franz Lubischt experimented on Murphy
and the tiger, combining their essence into one.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#8) - In the Amazon base, Dr. Franz Lubischt continued torturing Murphy in front of the other members of the Genesis Coalition. The Wild Pack broke in and freed Murphy, who thanked them and directed them to other mutates. Murphy joined the Wild Pack in fighting off the Genesis Coalition.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#9) - Murphy trained with the Wild Pack back in Symkaria.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#15 (fb) - BTS) - Murphy took the name Man-Eater, and he joined the Wild Pack. He was assigned to a team working with Sandman, Paladin, and Fin.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#15) - Man-Eater's team went to Kentucky, where they apprehended a Pit-Viper.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#16 (fb) - BTS) - Man-Eater's team was renamed the Intruders, with Sandman appointed as their leader.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#16) - The Intruders accompanied the Wild Pack to Somalia, where they fought those raiding government supply centers. Struggling to not consume the men he was attacking, Man-Eater followed the no-kill orders, and they soon battled the Bio-Genes. Then Hydra attacked, led by Baron Strucker.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#17) - Hydra battled the Intruders, the Wild Pack, and the Bio-Genes, and Leecher briefly took emotional control over Fin and Man-Eater, who purred when Fin petted him, before Silver Sable had Leecher set them free. Soon, Hydra was defeated.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#19/2 (fb) - BTS) - Man-Eater was sent into the South American jungle to track criminals, including Larry, as a test of his capabilities. When he entered their hideout, it exploded.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#19/2) - Rushing from the explosion, Man-Eater tracked the criminals across the jungle, soon gutting one when he drew a knife. Man-Eater resisted the temptation to eat the man, instead bringing him in alive.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#21) - The Intruders, including new member Lightbright, went to Beverly Hills at Silver Sable's order, to apprehend some deadly gang members, though the Intruders were told not to use violence.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#22) - The Intruders and the Wild Pack battled criminals including Afterburner, Cyclone, Spymaster, Boomerang, Beetle, Blizzard, and Blacklash. During the battle, Blizzard held Man-Eater off with an ice blast.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#25) - The Intruders were sent to Bosnia to take down more Genesis Coalition agents.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#27 (fb) - BTS) - In New York, Man-Eater's tiger side took over and he fled from the Intruders and frightened civilians as he ran through the city.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#27) - Man-Eater stopped a mugging in Central Park, slashing violently at the criminal, then Code: Blue closed in on him. Evading nets and tranquilizers, Man-Eater went to the zoo, where his human side had started to return, but then he smelled a female tiger. Battlestar tried to reason with Man-Eater, but he lashed out against his friend, yelling that he belonged in the wild. After the female tiger was tranquilized, Man-Eater rushed into her cave to hide, as the Intruders arrived. Silver Sable tased Man-Eater and took him in to Dr. Newkirk, who promised to help him sort out his identity issues.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#30) - At the Symkarian Embassy, the Wild Pack and the Intruders were informed that Silver Sable had been arrested. Lorna Kleinfeldt, Uncle Morty, Samantha Powell, and Ernst Sablinova warned the operatives that they could be arrested as well.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#33) - Man-Eater heard Silver Sable announce she was stepping down as leader of the Wild Pack.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#34) - The Intruders, operating out of the Symkarian Embassy, prepared for another mission.
(Civil War: Battle Damage Report#1 - BTS) - Man-Eater was considered as a recruit for the Initiative.
(Penance: Relentless#3 (fb) - BTS) - Man-Eater and Fin signed up with the Fifty State Initiative, and they were assigned to protect the state of Vermont as part of the Garrison.
(Penance: Relentless#3) - The Garrison stood in defense of a nuclear facility when Penance attacked, but they were both swiftly knocked out.
Comments: Created by Gregory Wright, Steven Butler, and Jim Sanders III.
An Intruders mini-series was planned according to Man-Eater's back-up story in #19/2, but nothing ever came of it.
