History: (Savage Avengers I#18 (fb) - BTS) - The boy named Stanley was born to a mutant mother and Stanley's father did some legal work for the infamous Hellfire Club. As an adult, Stanley became the criminal Night Flyer and began a relationship with the attorney Roger.

(Savage Avengers I#17 (fb) - BTS) - Night Flyer was arrested and sent to Ryker's Island prison.

(Savage Avengers I#17) - Night Flyer was still an inmate within Ryker's Island when guards tossed the time-displaced Hyborian barbarian Conan into the already-packed cell. After witnessing Conan force the super-healing Deadpool through the bars so that Deadpool could acquire the guard's keys, Night Flyer asked Conan and Deadpool to take him with them during their escape. Introducing himself and suggesting they should have already heard of him, Night Flyer offered to lead them to a safe house and a monetary score if he was allowed to accompany them. Conan grimly replied that he was leaving and if the Night Flyer wished to follow, that was his own business, while Conan's interest in the Night Flyer's supposed treasure was Conan's business. Remarking that he needed to liberate some items from lockup, Night Flyer led Deadpool and Conan to the lockup area, where he gathered his gear. Once back in full costume, Night Flyer joined Conan and Deadpool in escaping Ryker's Island, flying through the air while Conan and Deadpool rode horses. Shortly after reporting the nearby bridge was out, Night Flyer aided his two allies against a group of alien Klyntar dragons, quickly saving Conan from a potentially deadly fall after Conan was knocked off his horse by one of the dragons. When Conan was overcome by the Klyntar symbiote, the Night Flyer suggested they leave Conan behind, as freeing Conan from the symbiote was out of his "strike zone," and the overwhelmed Deadpool replied that he had his own problems.

(Savage Avengers I#18) - As Conan allowed the Klyntar to bond with him and he returned to the fray, Night Flyer welcomed Conan back and admitted he thought Conan would die. Conan then drove away the remaining Klyntar dragons and Deadpool suggested Night Flyer hurry and get them to his safe house, as he didn't feel they had gotten out of range of the Ryker's Island snipers. Deadpool was almost immediately shot through the head by one of the snipers, prompting Night Flyer to blast off into the air as he commented that Conan should leave the injured Deadpool behind. Conan proclaimed that Deadpool had done his part in their escape and Conan intended to complete his part as he and Night Flyer fled. Announcing that he knew of a place closer than his safe house, Night Flyer led Conan and the unconscious Deadpool to Manhattan's Bar with No Name. Thirty minutes later, as Night Flyer and Conan had a few drinks, the Bar's employee Mitch asked if Conan could leave his horse outside but Night Flyer insisted the horse stay since the cops were looking for him. When Conan asked about the treasure Night Flyer had promised, Night Flyer asked Conan to hold that thought as his attorney Roger showed up. Admitting to Roger that he had escaped, Night Flyer promised everything was good and commented that he were apprehended, he would claim Deadpool forced him to help in the escape. Roger commented that he would work with a coercion claim but said the kidnapping of the police horse might provided an additional charge against Night Flyer. Roger then gave Night Flyer items the Flyer had requested from their freezer and Night Flyer promised Roger he would see him at home later with a large duffel bag of cash. Turning his attention back to Conan, the Night Flyer remarked that he now had what he needed for them to make a quiet getaway and Conan gruffly remarked that Roger's cut of their treasure would come out of Night Flyer's share of the loot. Night Flyer responded by saying Conan needn't worry about Roger's cut and that the treasure would still be split three ways unless Conan suddenly had an issue with Night Flyer due to his relationship with Roger. Conan replied that he cared not who Night Flyer lied with and remarked that he only wanted the trio's pay to be correct.

Shortly after, Night Flyer led Conan and the now-recovered Deadpool to the old Hellfire Club mansion, revealing his intent to have them rob the seemingly abandoned mansion. Producing the item Roger had brought him, a severed thumb to use for thumbprint ID, Night Flyer broke into the mansion and commented on how easy it should be to rob the place despite Deadpool whining that they were asking for trouble. When Conan questioned why he was needed if the treasure was so easy to rob, Night Flyer admitted that there was a lot to carry and he felt he owed Conan for helping him break out of Ryker's Island before his true fingerprints and identity could be ran. Further remarking that he liked to pay his debts, Night Flyer figured that including Conan in on the treasure would square things with the barbarian. Upon locating the bags of loot, the trio was met by the mutants Iceman, Callisto and Bishop, who teleported into the mansion using the living island Krakoa. Night Flyer's legs were quickly froze by Iceman and Night Flyer exclaimed that his mother was a mutant and he was simply helping himself to the bounty of Krakoa. Callisto immediately questioned Night Flyer's true motives and, annoyed at the entire encounter, Night Flyer hurled a frag grenade to shatter the ice encasing him.

(Savage Avengers I#19) - As Conan battled Iceman, Night Flyer filled some bags with money and announced that it was time to move. Before Night Flyer could escape, however, Bishop blew up the money bags with gunfire and scolded Night Flyer for throwing hands at them and attempting to steal mutant money. When Bishop commented that if they wanted some money, they had to earn it, a confused Night Flyer asked if Bishop was trying to Deadpool, Conan and himself. Bishop then suggested they all take a walk, at which point he offered to recruit Deadpool, Conan and Night Flyer in their mission to free their teammates Storm and Cyclops from the thrall of the symbiote god Knull. After learning that the alternative was being freezed to death by Iceman, Night Flyer agreed to help the mutants in exchange for a few bags of the money he was there to steal. Deadpool followed suite in exchange for money and Conan agreed to help as long as he would be allowed to speak with Wolverine afterwards. The trio were then given their missions and Night Flyer was ordered to fly high and draw the fire of Klyntar dragons guarding the building housing Storm and Cyclops. Night Flyer did just that, drawing the dragons away so that Deadpool, Conan, Bishop, Iceman and Callisto could sneak into the building and tranquilize Cyclops and Storm. Returning to the fray to find Deadpool in pieces, Night Flyer retrieved what he could Deadpool and rocketed off, with Conan, Bishop and Callisto following while Iceman dealt with Cyclops and Storm to cover their escape. Once back in the relative safety of the abandoned Hellfire Club mansion, Night Flyer admitted that he was happy to share wine with the mutants, he still wished to be paid. Bishop paid Night Flyer one duffel bag and Night Flyer departed, reminding them all of his name and assuring them he could be found at the Bar with No Name.

(Savage Avengers I#22 - BTS) - While battling the demon Nightmare, Conan was subjected to nightmarish images including the dreams of sorcerer Kulan Gath, which involved Gath crucifying Conan's allies including Night Flyer.

Night Flyer mentioned his "Nana" in Savage Avengers I#19, suggesting an elderly grandmother, but it was not clear if his "Nana" was truly a grandmother or if some other relative that he refers to as "Nana."
