History: (Marvel
Super Heroes Official Game Adventure: New York, New York - BTS) - Merilee
Phillips was
a photographer who was driving her beat up car down by the piers at
night,
hoping to take some night shots of the river. Her car battery died
though,
leaving her stranded.
Unable
to lock the car and find a payphone due a broken door latch, and
unwilling to leave the car due to the amount of camera equipment she
had inside, Merilee began trying to fix the car herself despite knowing
nothing about auto mechanics. An unidentified hero soon passed by and
spotted her working under the hood.
When the hero helped her out, Merilee offered to take some snapshots of
the hero anytime as a
professional courtesy.

list for list of artists involved).
Given
this was a story in a role-playing game, what heroes Merilee dealt with
was up to the players.
You could earn Karma points in the game for figuring out the car
battery died, calling for
help, towing the car personally or getting the car started.
The "New York, New York" game
adventure book showed an image of Captain America near Merilee
Phillips' story text so while it does say the story could involve any
hero (as would be the case with a RPG game), for history purposes, I'd
be inclined to go with Captain America based on the image near this
text. --Proto-Man
Her physical stats were never mentioned (or even eluded to, as she was never actually seen), leaving them to the player's imagination.
