History:

(ClanDestine I#1 - BTS) - Four (presumably English) professional thieves banded together as the Rainbow Quartet taking the rainbow's colors as their personal code names.

(ClanDestine I#1 (fb) - BTS) - The Rainbow Quartet learned another group of thieves, the Windsor Gang were apprehended by England's newest crime fighters, the Crimson Crusader and Imp.

(ClanDestine I#1 - BTS) - The Rainbow Quartet planned a heist on the Merriemen Museum in Nottingham, England.

(ClanDestine I#1) - Successfully breaking into the museum, the Rainbow Quartet gathered many valuable historic pieces unaware they were being watched by the Crimson Crusader and Imp. Determined to stop the criminals, Crimson Crusader made their presence known but while squabbling over the fact wether Imp was his partner of assistant the Rainbow Quartet quickly opened fire. Their bullets, however, ricocheted off the Crimson Crusader's impenetrable skin after which the duo easily stopped the quartet.

The heroic teenagers then bound the criminals together with a firehose after which they left a card behind for the local authorities to find.

Only Mr. Blue and Mr. Red were identified in the issue but eagle-eyed Loki recognized that each of the thieves wore goggles with a specific color, thus the other two were Mr. Green and Mr. Orange.

--Loki - "Merrieman Museum" is a nod to Robin Hood - located in Nottingham, named after Hood's "Merry Men."
