History: (Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Alternate Universe 2005 - Earth-A entry - BTS) - Nelson Rockefeller was a significant inhabitant of Earth-721, also known as Earth-A.

(Fantastic Four I#161 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Nelson Rockefeller became President of the United States.

(Fantastic Four I#161 - BTS) - While working with Earth-616's Human Torch during a war against Earth-721, Earth-6212's Phineas used the Multi-Viewer device to show the Human Torch footage of their enemies on Earth-721, including a video feed of President Nelson Rockefeller speaking. At first thinking the Multi-Viewer was showing him images of his own Earth-616, the Human Torch was shocked to see Nelson Rockefeller standing in front of the Presidential seal. Following an attack on Earth-721 by dinosaurs and Vikings, President Rockefeller went live on television to calm the public, reminding the public that many of the time-displaced creatures had been temporarily turned away and advising the people on what to further do. Noticing Rockefeller on television, Earth-616's Thing (who had aided in defeating the dinosaurs on Earth-721) was as shocked as the Human Torch to see Rockefeller addressing the nation. As Rockefeller's address continued, Pres. Rockefeller informed the public that his Defense Dept. scientists had discovered another Earth from which the time displacements had occurred. Thinking Rockefeller was referring to his own Earth-616, the Thing began thinking of how the time-probes had occurred and suspected Earth-721's Reed Richards before his ally, Earth-721's Ben Grimm, gassed him to prevent soldiers from opening fire on the Earth-616 hero.

Comments: Created by Roy Thomas, Rich Buckler and Joe Sinnott.

Earth-721's President Nelson Rockefeller was based on the real life Nelson Rockefeller, who was Vice President to President Gerald Ford at the time Fantastic Four I#161 was published. Typically, when covering real life figures, I would include some real life history in the profile but since this is an alternate universe counterpart of Rockefeller, I felt like the real life history was better left to a profile of Earth-616's Nelson Rockefeller, as we really don't know if Nelson Rockefeller-721's history matched that of the real world and/or Earth-616.

Earth-721's Nelson Rockefeller was only ever seen on a television or video screen so all images in this profile are from those screens. There was no image of him outside of video screens.

Nelson Rockefeller's eye color was impossible to determine, as he was only ever seen wearing glasses that obscured the actual color of his eyes. I would presume they matched the color of his real life counterpart but I had trouble even finding out that online.
