History:
(New Mutants I#?) - Soil was a friend/foe/new member of the New Mutants (delete as appropriate).

Comments: Created by Rob Liefeld. As he explained on his blog, when he started providing art for the New Mutants comic he submitted several characters who could have become new team members, friends of the team or foes of same. Soil was one of the characters who Marvel gave approval to use in the series, but there's no way to be sure which category he would have ended up in, as Liefeld ultimately decided not to use him there. Soil eventually made his debut as part of the eco-terrorist group Greenscape in Image Comics' Youngblood II#2. That said, apart from the obvious copyright issues, there's no reason a version of Soil can't exist on Earth-616 (the mainstream Marvel Earth).

This profile was completed 8/19/2021, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 20th anniversary 's celebratory event.
