History:
(Marvel Two-in-One III#7 (fb) - BTS) - Peter Parker was known as the heroic Spider.
(Marvel Two-in-One III#10 (fb) - BTS) - Peter Parker always hated Johnny Storm.
(Marvel Two-in-One III#7 (fb) - BTS) - When a conflict between the heroes Captain America and Iron Man erupted into a true war, the despondent Spider killed Iron Man and imprisoned Captain America. Feeling as if heroes couldn't help but fight one another, the Spider soon took control of New Jersey, transforming a part of it into the Battleworld gladiatorial arena.
(Marvel Two-in-One III#8 (fb) - BTS) - Dr. Strange soon after became the Spider's chief physician.
(Marvel Two-in-One III#7) - Earth-616's Thing, Human Torch, Iron Man (Victor von Doom) and Rachna Koul traveled to Earth-18067, where they ventured into the Battleworld Arena and encountered Dr. Strange. Strange halted Iron Man's chronology spell, warning against using magic there, and introduced the foursome to the Spider. Descending a staircase, the Spider admitted that the Earth-616 natives certainly looked like his own old friends but, knowing his friends were gone, the Spider asked Dr. Strange if the Earth-616 natives might be up for Battleworld. Later, as Human Torch, Iron Man and Thing were being prepared for introduction to the Battleworld arena, the Spider was announced by Jarviz as Battleworld's gracious benefactor. Grabbing the microphone, the Spider thanked Jarviz for the introduction and announced that, after a hard week of tending crops, rebuilding and keeping Reavers away, the Battleworld patrons deserved a show. Proclaiming that this week's contestants would assuredly last longer than two minutes, the Spider introduced the Earth-616 natives as the Terrific Three. When Earth-616's Rachna Koul interrupted the gladiatorial fight just as Iron Man managed to hurl a spear into the heart of Earth-18067's Disha Koul, one of the gladiators, the Spider remarked that things had just gotten interesting. As the arena battle progressed, the Spider commented that the heroes seemed to be fighting themselves more than the monsters until he was shocked when his mind-controlled aide Jarviz stabbed Dr. Strange in the neck. With Strange downed, the spell preventing Iron Man from using magic was undone, and Iron Man magically teleported Thing, Human Torch and Rachna from the Spider's Battleworld arena.
(Marvel Two-in-One III#10 (fb) - BTS) - The combatants' abrupt departure made the Spider look like a fool in front of all of Battleworld.
(Marvel Two-in-One III#8 - BTS) - Following the Earth-616 foursome's escape from Battleworld, the normally prominent and boisterous Spider became reclusive and obsessed with finding the escapees. A few weeks later, radio announcers Ted and Simon informed the public that Battleworld was reopening with a fight between Tigra and Moon Knight. The announcers also informed the public of the Spider's proclamation that his men would be closing in on the escapees shortly. Not long after the radio program, the powerless Human Torch and Thing (using the aliases of "Jimmy" and "Dan" while stranded on Earth-18067) discussed how the Spider was after them. Human Torch accused the Thing of being worried about the Spider, remarking that, in any reality, Peter Parker was not the world's greatest detective.
(Marvel Two-in-One III#9) - When the town Thing and Human Torch were living in was taken over by the Earth-616 Mad Thinker and his hand-picked Fantastic Four team, who sought to destroy any remnants of the true Fantastic Four, the two Earth-616 heroes snuck back into town, where the Thing's co-worker Sid updated him on the situation, remarking that he figured the takeover had been initiated by the Spider. As the Mad Thinker waited for the Torch and the Thing to arrive and rescue the townspeople, he asked if the captives were talking but all he could get out of the townspeople was talk about their fear of the Spider and his army. The two Earth-616 heroes eventually revealed themselves and, following a brief battle with the Mad Thinker's Fantastic Four, they drove out of town in an attempt to lure the Thinker's Fantastic Four away. As the duo escaped into the desert, they found themselves pursued by the Spider and his army. The Thing noticed the pursuit first and informed the Torch that the Spider was now after them, having apparently caught wind of their troubles in town.
(Marvel Two-in-One III#10) - The Spider and his army continued their pursuit, with the Spider insisting he saw the two Earth-616 heroes just over a nearby ridge. One of his crew asked if the Spider was sure it was them and the Spider admitted that, after he was made to look like a fool in Battleworld, he was so amped to kill the heroes that he didn't really care if it was them or not, as he planned to kill whomever they found. The Spider's crew then went over the ridge, only to be confronted with a repowered Thing and Human Torch. The Thing easily knocked the Spider out of his truck but the surprised Spider responded by hurling a vehicle at the Thing. The Thing punched the vehicle aside and the Human Torch surrounded the Spider with flames, prompting the Spider to remark that not even his reality's Johnny Storm would burn someone alive. Distracted by the fire, the Spider became an easy target for the Thing, who walked through the flames and knocked the Spider out. The two heroes then returned to the town to rescue it from the Mad Thinker's Fantastic Four and the Human Torch willingly surrendered, claiming the Spider had killed the Thing. After the Torch and Thing defeated the Mad Thinker's Fantastic Four and rescued the town, the Spider regained consciousness in the desert, admitting he had always hated Johnny Storm and swearing to hunt down Earth-616's Human Torch and Thing no matter where they were from. Unaware that Earth-616's Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic had arrived on Earth-18067 to rescue their teammates, the Spider was immediately (and invisibly) taken down by the Invisible Woman, who twisted the Spider around and knocked him out again, leaving him face down in the sand.
(Marvel Two-in-One III#11 - BTS) - While the Spider was absent from
Battleworld, a coup was made with the unconfirmed head of the coup
being the Spider's far less murderous assistant, Jarviz. Not long after
the coup, the Spider spoke about the coup on radio.
Comments: Created by Chip Zdarsky and Ramon K. Perez.
The Spider always seemed to be shown at odd angles (such as sitting down, behind something or from behind or the side or in shadow), which made it a little difficult to get great images of him for this profile. Perhaps the artist deliberately drew him at odd angles to signify the Spider's insanity...

CLARIFICATIONS:
Earth-18067's Spider should be distinguished
from:
Battleworld was a territory in New Jersey that was converted into a gladiatorial arena ruled by the Spider. Inside, the Spider would announce the battles and he lorded over the arena with an iron fist. After Earth-616's Thing, Human Torch, Rachna Koul and Iron Man escaped Battleworld, the Spider looked like a fool to his subjects and he became obsessed with finding the escapees while Battleworld closed down for a time. Weeks later, Battleworld reopened with a fight between Tigra and Moon Knight and later, when the Spider personally went after the escapees, a Battleworld coup occurred, ousting the Spider.

Steve Rogers was seemingly much like his Earth-616 counterpart until his conflict with fellow hero Iron Man erupted into a full-fledged war that damaged the country. Eventually, the despondent hero Spider killed Iron Man and took Captain America captive.

Doctor Stephen Strange was a close friend of the Spider. Following the Spider's murder of Iron Man and the creation of Battleworld, Strange became the Spider's personal physician and he aided the Spider by casting a spell that prevented the use of magic inside Battleworld. When Earth-616 heroes Iron Man, Thing and the Human Torch arrived on Earth-18067 and ventured into Battleworld, Dr. Strange greeted them and canceled out the spell Iron Man had cast to learn about Earth-18067's history. Strange remained by the Spider's side as the Spider ordered the Earth-616 natives to act as gladiators in Battleworld but during their battle in the arena, Iron Man mentally coerced the Spider's assistant Jarviz into stabbing Dr. Strange in the neck, killing him and canceling Strange's anti-magic spell. With magic no longer canceled out, Iron Man then teleported his allies out of Battleworld, leaving Dr. Strange to die.
Dr. Strange was a master of the mystic arts, much like his Earth-616 counterpart.

Iron Man (whose last name was Stark) was seemingly much like his Earth-616 counterpart until his conflict with fellow hero Captain America erupted into a full-fledged war that damaged the country. Eventually, the despondent hero Spider killed Iron Man, ending the war.

Jarviz was the personal assistant to the Spider and often remained by the Spider's side at all times. During a gladiatorial match in Battleworld involving the Earth-616 heroes Iron Man, Thing and Human Torch, Jarviz was mentally coerced by Iron Man into stabbing Dr. Strange in the neck, effectively canceling out Strange's anti-magic spell and thereby allowing Iron Man to mystically teleport the Earth-616 natives out of Battleworld. Later, when the Spider was absent from Battleworld pursuing the escapees, unconfirmed radio reports labeled Jarviz as the head of Battleworld coup.
--Marvel Two-in-One III#7 (#11 - BTS,
Disha Koul was a large gladiator who fought in the Spider's Battleworld arena. When Earth-616 scientist Rachna Koul arrived on Earth-18067, she sensed that a counterpart of her invalid sister Disha existed on Earth-18067 and she planned to bring Earth-18067's Disha back to Earth-616 to write the Earth-616 Disha's mind over her Earth-18067 counterpart's mind, thereby granting the Earth-616 Disha a functional physical body again. When Earth-616 heroes Iron Man, Thing and Human Torch were sent to Battleworld, Rachna-616 witnessed the battle from the stands and eventually leaped into the battle to protect the body of Earth-18067's Disha. Unfortunately, Rachna jumped in too late, arriving in the arena just as Iron Man-616 killed Disha-18067 with a thrown spear. Rachna-616 later confessed her plans for the Earth-18067 Disha to the Earth-616 heroes.

Moon Knight was a gladiatorial participant in the Spider's
Battleworld arena. After Battleworld was closed for weeks following the
escape of Earth-616 heroes Thing, Human Torch and Iron Man, it reopened
with Moon Knight's fight against Tigra as the main draw. Despite the
anticipation of the fight, some natives (such as an older man named
George) felt no one should bet the farm on a man calling himself Moon
Knight.

The Reavers were a band of raiders who had placed landmines in the
desert surrounding the Spider's Battleworld. They periodically
attempted to encroach into Battleworld, forcing its residents to fend
off their attacks.

Simon was a radio announcer who announced the reopening of the
Spider's Battleworld and his pursuit of the escaped Earth-616 heroes
Thing, Human Torch and Iron Man.
--Marvel Two-in-One III#8 - BTS
Johnny Storm was a known hero on Earth-18067 whom the Spider also
hated. Despite his hatred of Storm, the Spider knew that Johnny would
never purposely burn someone alive and when the Spider first met the
Earth-616 Human Torch, he noted that his reality's Johnny Storm was
"gone."
Johnny Storm apparently possessed the same fire-manipulating powers that his Earth-616 counterpart had.
It wasn't clear if Earth-18067 was
"gone" in the sense that he was dead or if he simply departed
Battleworld for somewhere else.
--Marvel Two-in-One III#8 - BTS
Ted was a radio announcer who announced the reopening of the
Spider's Battleworld and his pursuit of the escaped Earth-616 heroes
Thing, Human Torch and Iron Man.
--Marvel Two-in-One III#8 - BTS
The Terrific Three were a grouping of Earth-616 heroes (from left to right) Human Torch, Iron Man and the Thing that the Spider had placed inside his Battleworld arena to fight gladiatorial battles. While the Earth-616 heroes did not name their grouping, the Spider publicly introduced them as the Terrific Three and he gladly watched their arena battle until Iron Man-616 managed to mentally coerce the Spider's assistant Jarviz into stabbing Dr. Strange and canceling Strange's anti-magic spell. With magic no longer canceled out, Iron Man magically teleported the Terrific Three away from Battleworld.
--Marvel Two-in-One III#7
Tigra was a gladiatorial participant in the Spider's
Battleworld arena. After Battleworld was closed for weeks following the
escape of Earth-616 heroes Thing, Human Torch and Iron Man, it reopened
with Tigra's fight against Moon Knight as the main draw.
