History:
(Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 (fb) - BTS) - Despite being married to the Hispanic May for years, Ben never learned Spanish. (Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 (fb)) - After falling in a
hardware store paint aisle, Ben Parker visited his doctor alongside his
wife and received bad news. Afterwards, Ben went to the pharmacy with
his nephew Peter to pick up his prescriptions, only to find that his
insurance provider was no longer in that pharmacy's network. When the
pharmacist mentioned that Medicaid would cover the pain medication as
long as Ben could provide them with a PIN number, Ben had trouble
closing the apps that Peter had opened on his phone in order to find
the PIN. Noticing one of the apps had video of Peter in his Spider-Man
identity pestering J. Jonah Jameson and remarking on how Jameson's
coffee tasted like his uncle's "Happy Cabinet," Ben ultimately departed
the pharmacy and noticed Peter was gone. Figuring Petey was off acting
as Spider-Man, Ben ventured home, unaware a man with a gun was
following him. By the time Peter sensed the danger, Ben had been shot by the man. To save Ben's life, Peter gave Ben a blood transfusion and Ben later woke up with spider-like powers similar to those possessed by Peter as Spider-Man. Later noticing handprints on the side of his newly-painted house, Ben suspected Peter was to blame and he soon found Peter battling the Wrecker as Spider-Man. When Ben witnessed the showboating Peter get one-upped by the Wrecker, he donned a red mask and went into action to help defeat the Wrecker. Spider-Man was extremely excited and impressed at seeing Ben in action and Ben admitted that he hadn't done too bad for an old man. The two later learned that the Wrecker had been attacking an Oscorp construction site in an effort to protect his own neighborhood from being turned into a new Starkbucks. When Peter remarked that, while it was sad that Oscorp was planning to turn the neighborhood into a Starkbucks, the Wrecker's actions still could've hurt someone, Ben reminded Peter that he could've been hurt himself and that he was the responsibility of Ben and his wife. Peter then commented that he was old enough to know that no one knew how much time they had left and that what mattered was how much good they could do in the time they have. Peter then suggested they work together in their efforts to do good. The two soon partnered up to battle crime and following a battle with Mysterio, Peter asked which one of them would use the name Spider-Man. Ben laughed and commented that Peter was thirteen but Peter claimed he could lift a car over his head. Ben reminded Peter that strength did not make a man and Peter later suggested they compromise, with Peter becoming "Spider-Pete" and Ben becoming "Spider-Ben." Ben claimed the idea was absurd, as it would be practically giving away who they really were, but Peter responded that there were probably millions of Peters and Bens out there. Continuing his crime-fighting actions with Peter with his wife May none the wiser, Ben was at one point buried alive in a pet cemetery next to the graves of deceased pets Popcorn Kravenov, Damien Kravenov, Rex, Molly, Mel, Otto and others by Kraven the Hunter, who sought to replace Ben as Spider-Man. Punching his way out of the grave, Ben confronted Kraven and beat Kraven to a bloody pulp, nearly killing the criminal as he thought about the graves of Richard and Mary Parker. Unaware Peter had witnessed the beating, Ben was stopped when the drugged and terrified Peter embraced him. Realizing he was putting the young Peter in too much danger, Ben announced that Peter was finished as Spider-Man but Peter protested until he saw the injured Kraven. Despite Ben's insistence that Kraven had tried to kill him, Peter nonetheless picked up Kraven and rushed the beaten criminal to the nearest hospital. Later returning home that night, Ben went into Peter's room and revealed that he was proud of Peter. Peter responded by claiming he would never have done what Ben did to Kraven and reminding Ben that they almost lost him once. When Peter asked that they not lose him again like that, Ben reminded Peter that he had Peter to make sure it wouldn't happen again. (Spider-Geddon I#3 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Ben relented to Peter's wishes and he took to using the codename of Spider-Ben while Peter became simply Petey. The two were soon after recruited into the Multiversal Spider-Army to assist against Earth-001's vampiric Inheritors. (Spider-Geddon I#3) - Earth-1610's Spider-Man returned from Earth-50101 and recruiting that reality's Spider-Man into the Spider-Army and Spider-Ben and other Spider-totems were there to greet the two heroes. As several counterparts discussed recruiting Earth-616's Peter Parker, Petey chimed in that if they wanted a young, more awesome Peter Parker, he was there but Spider-Ben asked for the other counterparts to ignore the overexhuberent Petey, claiming he took after his aunt. Later, after seeing Earth-8311's Spider-Ham as the Spider-Army ventured onto Earth-001 on a mission, Petey asked if Spider-Ham was a person bitten by a radioactive pig or some sort of Charlotte's Web reboot, prompting Spider-Ben to remind Petey about not saying everything he thought out loud. The Inheritors soon sensed the Spider-Army's location and attacked the group, forcing the Spider-Army to scatter. When the second Spider-Army squad led by Earth-616's Otto Octavius arrived to rescue the first squad, Spider-Ben and his squad retreated onto the Earth-51778 giant robot Leopardon. (Spider-Geddon#5) - During a decisive battle against the Inheritors, in which Spider-Man-1610 temporarily harnessed the cosmic Uni-Power, Spider-Ben and the rest of the Spider-Army battled the individual Inheritors while Spider-Man-1610 focused on the Inheritor patriarch Solus. When the Spider-Army began to lose ground, Spider-Man-616 and another small Spider-Army squad entered the fray and the entire Spider-Army piled onto Solus. Upon the Inheritors' defeat, Spider-Ben and Petey returned to their home reality. (Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 (fb) - BTS) - Unfortunately, at some point, Peter died but Ben never told May of Peter's dual identity until the day she also died. (Edge of Spider-Geddon#3) - After webbing a captured criminal to a barstool at Stacy's bar, Spider-Man (Ben Parker) grumbled about his phone being dead. The bartender got Spider-Man an old phone charger and a beer and began some small talk about how Ben had been in there a lot lately. Bopping the captured criminal on the head to shut him up, Ben began recounting his origin to the bartender, who was thankful Ben had stopped the criminal. When Ben mentioned receiving his powers from a blood transfusion from the boy Spider-Man, the bartender admitted that he had always assumed Peter had gotten his powers from Ben. The bartender later asked if it were true that the two Spider-Men had been involved in some crazy Spider-war and Ben replied in the affirmative. Ben then later lamented the loss of Peter and admitted that he had never told his wife of Peter's dual identity. The bartender replied that both Peter and May had been gone a long time and there wasn't any way to rewrite the past. The bartender reminded Ben that he got to be Spider-Men together with Peter and that Peter would not have regretted any of that time together. Ben then began gathering his belongings and the bartender offered to let Ben sleep there but Ben declined, disconnected the phone charger and turned on the phone to view a photo of Peter and him together. When the bartender remarked that Ben had deserved one night off and didn't have to be Spider-Man forever, Ben replied that perhaps he didn't but he was old enough to know that no one knew how much time they had left. He then remarked that he'd sleep when he was dead. Comments: Created by Jason Latour, Tonci
Zonjic and Brahm Revel. War of the Realms: Journey into Mystery#1 is listed
online as a BTS appearance of Spider-Ben but I could find not an actual
mention of Spider-Ben in that issue. The closest we get is Miles
Morales remarking on how he met a Spider-Grandfather & his
Spider-Grandson, which is close but no cigar in regards to Spider-Ben.
Obviously, Ben and Petey are uncle and nephew though not grandfather
and grandson. I suppose one could argue that Miles honestly had no
idea... Profile by Proto-Man. CLARIFICATIONS: The Burglar was an unidentified thug who witnessed
the older Ben Parker leave his pharmacy with a bag of medicine. Hiding
a gun in the back of his pants, the Burglar followed Ben and shortly
after shot Ben, forcing the young Spider-Man to give Ben a life-saving
blood transfusion. --Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 (fb) Damien Kravenov was a pet belonging to Kraven that
had died and was buried in a pet cemetery where Kraven later buried Ben
Parker alive. We never see what
kind of animal Damien Kravenov was. We only ever see its gravestone in
a pet cemetery. --Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 (fb) - BTS Kraven was a foe of both Ben and Peter Parker in
their guises as Spider-Men. When Kraven sought to replace Ben as the
elder Spider-Men, he drugged Peter and had Ben buried alive in a pet
cemetery housing the graves of his deceased pets. Ben soon punched his
way out of the shallow grave and confronted Kraven, beating Kraven
nearly to death while demanding to know why Kraven had done what he
did. As the barely conscious Kraven asked if Ben really wanted to know
why or if he planned to just keep punching him, the drugged Peter
entered the room and embraced Ben, halting the attack. However, when
Peter saw what Ben had done, Peter picked up Kraven and took him to the
nearest hospital for medical attention. Later that night, Peter
informed Ben that he would have never got to the point of nearly
killing someone like Ben had with Kraven and Ben assured Peter that it
would never happen again, as he had Peter to make sure of that. --Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 (fb) Mel was a pet belonging to Kraven that
had died and was buried in a pet cemetery where Kraven later buried Ben
Parker alive. We never see what

had died and was buried in a pet cemetery where Kraven later buried Ben
Parker alive. We never see what

to Ben Parker. After she died, her son Peter was left in the custody of
Ben and his wife May. After being granted superhuman powers from a
blood transfusion and buried alive by the villain Kraven, Ben beat
Kraven nearly to death, thinking about the graves of Richard and Mary,
before Peter halted the attack. --Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 (fb) - BTS (#3 - BTS, May Parker was the bilingual wife of Ben Parker.
Following an accident at a hardware store, May accompanied Ben to his
doctor, where they received bad news. When the doctor asked Ben if they
wanted him to call in their nephew Peter to help tell the bad news, May
opted instead to not tell Peter and allow Peter to live the life of a
carefree teenager one day longer. Unaware that Ben was later shot and
received a life-saving blood transfusion from the superhuman Peter, May
continued her daily housework and nightly reading, completely oblivious
to the secret lives that Ben and Peter lived as heroic Spider-Men. Some
time later when Peter died, May was never told of Peter's dual identity
by Ben and May eventually died as well. --Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 (fb) Richard Parker was the brother of Ben Parker and
married Mary, later having a son, Peter. After Richard and Mary died,
Peter was left in the custody of
Ben and his wife May. After being granted superhuman powers from a
blood transfusion and buried alive by the villain Kraven, Ben beat
Kraven nearly to death, thinking about the graves of Richard and Mary,
before Peter halted the attack. --Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 (fb) - BTS (#3 - BTS, Popcorn Kravenov was a pet belonging to Kraven that

Parker alive. We never see what
kind of animal Rex was. We only ever see its gravestone in a pet

after he lost his nephew Peter. The bartender at Stacy's befriended
Spider-Man one night after Ben had apprehended a criminal in the bar
and Ben recounted his origin and the loss of Peter to the bartender.
Following a long conversation, the bartender offered Ben a place to
sleep in the bar but Ben declined the offer, figuring he'd sleep when
he was dead. --Edge of Spider-Geddon#3 Appearances: First posted: 08/10/2022 Any Additions/Corrections? please let
