History:
(West Coast Avengers
III#1) - After Hawkeye (Kate Bishop) put out a flyer seeking recruits
into her West Coast Avengers team, Spider-King was one of the many
would-be Avengers who showed up for the interviews. When Dee-Va, who
merely showed up in an attempt to hook up with Hawkeye (Clint Barton)
and had misunderstood the flyer, was asked to leave by Kate Bishop,
Spider-King came in and sat down in front of Kate's desk. Kate
immediately noticed the sheer number of spiders covered the man and
asked about them, prompting Spider-King to introduce himself. Before
Spider-King could even finish his introduction, a severely creeped out
Kate Bishop refused Spider-King's interview, apologizing and demanding
he leave fast as she turned her head away from him. After Spider-King
left, Kate moved on to other applicants, who proved equally ridiculous. Comments: Created by Kelly Thompson and
Stefano Caselli. It was never revealed whether Spider-King had any
true superhuman powers, such as the ability to control the spiders all
over him, or if he was merely just a guy covered in spiders. IF he does
have superhuman powers, it was also not revealed how Spider-King might
have acquired said powers. Since Spider-King was never seen without a mound of
spiders all over him, his hair color was impossible to determine. Profile by Proto-Man. CLARIFICATIONS: Appearances: First posted: 08/17/2022 Any Additions/Corrections? please let
