History:
(Spider-Man: Christmas in Dallas (fb) - BTS) - Rich
Starkey idolized Spider-Man, ignoring the Daily Bugle newspaper's
efforts to discredit the hero. But then Starkey was hired as a copy boy
at the newspaper.
(Spider-Man: Christmas in Dallas) - His first day on
the job, Starkey overheard newspaper editor J. Jonah Jameson lambast
Spider-Man again and, unaware it was an unsaid rule not to challenge
Jameson's vilification of Spidey, defended the webbed hero. The noisy
newsroom suddenly became quiet and Jameson ordered the now sullen lad
into his office where he berated Starkey for not following the
editorial line targeting Spider-Man. However, photographer Peter Parker
saw the incident and quickly changed into Spider-Man; crawling around
the outside of the building, he quipped and webbed up Jameson to
quieten him down before swinging away. Starkey watched in wonder, then
asked Robbie Robertson what to do.
