History:
(
Elektra movie (fb) - BTS) - Stone was one of the Hand ninja clan's elite assassins, working directly under Kirigi, the son of the Hand's master, Roshi. Some on the Council of the Hand, such as Roshi's right hand man Meizumi, viewed the superpowered assassins Kirigi had gathered as an abomination. Like all Hand members he had been magically rigged to explosively disintegrate when slain, in order to leave no remains for enemies to examine.

(Elektra movie novelization (fb) - BTS) - When not on missions for Kirigi, Stone was a cage fighter in California, doing it not for the money but because he enjoyed the bloodshed.

(Elektra movie (fb) - BTS) - Based on a prophecy, the Hand sought to  kill a teenage girl, Abby Miller, and Meizumi sent an operative to do so, only for them to be slain by the Hand's enemy, Elektra.

(Elektra movie novelization) - Kirigi sent a text summoning Stone to Japan, just as Stone was entering the ring to fight failed Hollywood would-be action star Gunny Breeze. Though Stone intended to end the fight quickly, Breeze proved more canny than he first appeared, having been trained to fight by his marine father, and initially avoided trying to match Stone's strength with straight attacks, instead working to knock him off his feet, first by sweeping his legs and a second time with strikes to the head that unbalanced him. However, on his third attempt Gunny tried to show off and attempted a flying kick; Stone grabbed him in mid-air and pinned Gunny down, and when Gunny tried to spin himself free Stone held Gunny's leg so firmly in place that Gunny's own maneuver broke the limb. Having ended the match, Stone headed off to take Kirigi's private jet to Japan.

(Elektra movie) - In Tokyo Stone and other elite assassins accompanied Kirigi to a meeting of the Council of the Hand, where Kirigi revealed that Meizumi's agents had failed and gained his father's approval to try to eliminate Abby himself, with Roshi informing Kirigi that if he succeeded he would have proved himself worthy of taking over as the leader of the Hand.

Kirigi's team tracked Abby, her father Mark, and Elektra to a farmhouse owned by Elektra's friend McCabe. Sensing them coming, Elektra and the Millers fled while McCabe volunteered to stay behind and try to buy them some time. As their targets fled through an underground tunnel to the woods, Stone walked up to the farmhouse door and McCabe, seeing his shadow under the door and hearing his heavy tread on the porch outside, shot him through the door, but the pellets failed to even break Stone's skin. Brushing them off, he smashed the door down, and the other assassins followed him into the house as he advanced on McCabe. Kirigi telepathically extracted where Elektra and the McCabes had fled and ordered Stone and the others to pursue, then decapitated McCabe.

Entering some nearby woods the assassins split up to hunt their prey, with Stone being the first to reach Elektra. Waiting up a tree to ambush her pursuers, she jumped down behind Stone and stabbed him in the back with one of her sais, but the blade broke against his rock-hard skin, and he turned to backhand her, sending her flying through the air. Grinning as she struggled back to her feet, he threw a clublike tree branch, sending it spinning through the air towards her, and though she evaded it by jumping up into the branches of a tall tree, the twirling club struck with sufficient force to smash clear through the tree's trunk. Hiding nearby inside the hollow trunk of a long collapsed tree, Abby shouted out in concern for her friend, alerting Stone to her location, and, assuming Elektra no longer a threat, he began smashing his way into Abby's hiding place. As Abby and her father scrambled out the other end of the hollowed trunk, Stone spotted them and moved to pursue, inadvertently placing himself in the path of the toppling tree Elektra had sought refuge in. Hearing the creaking, Stone turned just in time to see the tree seconds before it smashed into him, a combination of mass and speed giving it so much momentum that it killed him instantly, and he exploded into dust.

Comments: Created by Zak Penn, Stuart Zicherman and Raven Metzner.

Stone was portrayed by Bob Sapp.

Stone also appears in the comic adaptation of the movie, and in the novelization, where he gets a modicum more backstory. Stone's final fight in the novel against Elektra sees her get a second hit in, but otherwise plays out identically to the film.
