resurrecting superhero Mr. Immortal buried himself alive in the

One might try to say that the
dates on the gravestones are just topical references but considering
that we don't ever see the people on the gravestones in person, it's
very possible that the dates of their lives and deaths would not be
topical. They could have still lived and died firmly planted into those
dates even with the Marvel sliding time scale, much like how World War
II is firmly planted in its historical dates.
The name of "Rob Wilson" was
likely a play on the name of Great Lakes Avengers artist "Will Robson."
