History:
(Bizarre Adventures#34/2) - Seeking to earn his wings as an angel, Andy appeared on San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge on Christmas Eve and caught Howard the Duck as he attempted to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge. Seeking to convince Howard that his life was worth living, Andy gave Howard glimpses into Reality-83234, a world where Howard the Duck never arrived on Earth. Andy brought Howard to see Paul Same, Arthur Winslow, and finally Beverly Switzler, but it turned out they were all much better off in this world.

Despondent at his failure, Andy feared he would never get his wings and prepared to jump on the bridge himself. Realizing Andy was even more pathetic than himself, Howard stopped Andy, promising that he wouldn't kill himself. Andy feared Howard was just saying that to make him feel better, but Howard told him that this adventure had taken him out of his suicidal mood, and he offered to buy Andy a drink, provided they could find a bar open on Christmas Eve. As the Church Bells struck midnight, Howard and Andy realized that Andy had earned his wings at last.

(Steve Gerber's unpublished script for Howard the Duck#1 "Secret Crisis II" (fb) - BTS) - Andy was transported -- along with Dakimh the Enchanter, Jennifer Kale, Korrek the Barbarian, Man-Thing, Master C'haaj, Hemlock Shoals, and Claude Starkowski -- to within a motorhome-like construct in an interdimensional space between Reality-616 and Reality-791021 (which mirrored the storyline generated by the dark matter-powered Poporb of Krylorian techno-artist Chirreep).

(Steve Gerber's unpublished script for Howard the Duck#1 "Secret Crisis II") - As Howard approached the motorhome, its door flew open (either opened by Andy or on its own), smashing Howard against the motorhome. Andy greeted Howard, but Howard, not recognizing Andy (see comments) and furious over his smashed cigar, tackled Andy back into the vehicle; his hands locked around Andy's throat, Howard told him if he didn't have a box of cigars with him, he was dead meat.

As Andy explained that Howard couldn't kill him, as he was already dead (see comments), Howard retorted that his fist wouldn't hurt a bit. As Howard swung his punch, however, he stopped upon hearing Dakimh order him to desist. Howard then surveyed the motorhome's population (noting that he'd never seen Hemlock Shoals before, either).

They then observed the approach of a giant fire hydrant, which proved to be a similar artificial construct holding Dr. Angst and the Band of the Bland (Black Hole Sitting Bullseye, Spanker, Tillie the Hun), le Beaver, Black Talon, Bzzk J'oh, Dr. Bong, Jackpot, Jokester, Greedy Killerwatt, Kong-Lomerate, Maller, Pro-Rata, Puffin, Quizling, and Wally Sidney. As Howard attempted to depart, he met up with Chirreep, who explained that some of Howard's adventures had been created via her dark matter-powered Pob-Orb stories, but had become part of reality.

The monstrous mouth Galactongue appeared and disgorged an entire galaxy, after which the Brotherhood of Evil Prepositions (Amonger, Arounder, Betweener, Of, Underneather, Withiner) then appeared and challenged this group and a group of villains to "Play both ends against the middle, and all you desire shall be yours."

Both groups were transported into an immense office building on a planet formed from contents disgorged by Galactongue.

(Steve Gerber's unpublished script for Howard the Duck#1 "Secret Crisis II" - BTS) - Kong Lomerate led the villains in a plot to destroy the other group.

(Steve Gerber's unpublished script for Howard the Duck#1 "Secret Crisis II" - BTS) - Bong, presumably along with some of the others, targeted Andy the Angel, Dakimh the Enchanter, Jennifer Kale, Korrek the Barbarian, Man-Thing, Master C'haaj (sp?), Hemlock Shoals, and Claude Starkowski, while Kong led Maller, Jackpot, and Greedy Killerwatt to attack Howard and Chireep, who had left the mailroom (see comments).

Comments: Created by Steven Grant and Paul Smith.

Rushed to get this one out for Christmas. I'll try to profile Earth-83234 in the near future (well, over 10 years later, I still haven't gotten to it...but I will eventually).

    Gerber's unpublished script:

Angels aren't supposed to be dead spirits, but an entirely different race of beings, but certainly plenty of stories portray them as dead spirits.

As pointed out by Wolfram Bane: Bizarre Adventures #34/2 was obviously intended s a parody of the 1946 film "It's A Wonderful Life." Howard was in the role of George Bailey, and Andy in role of Clarence the Angel.
