History: (5 Ronin I#5
(fb)) - In 1600,
when there was a bloody battle at Sekigahara where the Western and
Eastern clans fought, a man called Watari fought alongside the daimyo.
The daimyo suggested Watari attack opponents against their right flank
despite the fact that Watari's army was outnumbered. Watari agreed to the attack, as he
counted on the assistance of daimyo,
but he was betrayed and his army defeated. Watari was the sole
survivor
but he suffered scarring all over his body and grew angry. When he
returned home, Watari became a teahouse buffoon, earning the nickname
of the Fool, but he secretly wanted revenge on the daimyo at heart.
(5 Ronin I#1) - At some point,
the Fool witnessed a murder of the
Ronin Who Cannot Die by an unidentified samurai who called the Ronin
Who Cannot Die brother. Five weeks later, the Fool got drunk in tavern
when the Ronin Who Cannot Die appeared. The Ronin unintentionally
overheard the drunk Fool repeating the words of the unidentified
samurai he had seen earlier, prompting the Ronin Who Cannot Die leave
the tavern.
(5 Ronin I#2) - The Fool was found by a young man from a village
that had been attacked by bandits. The Fool was offered food and
payment, so he agreed to the offer, but when he found out about the
bandits, he figured himself a coward and left the village. In search of food, the
Fool wandered to the house of a strong monk who had refused to fight
with bandits earlier. The Fool said that the monk was a coward as well
for refusing and
the monk kicked the Fool out of his home.
(5 Ronin I#3) - The Fool
accidentally saved Atari when he was at gunpoint by one of the killers
of his family.
(5 Ronin I#5) - One day, while
the the daimyo was traveling on a
horse with his warriors, the Fool was the only one who didn't bow
before him. The daimyo was confused but spared the Fool because he
recognized something familiar in him. Throughout the remainder of the
day, the confused daimyo tried to forget about the Fool but when he
couldn't even sleep, he decided to kill the Fool but then soon found
his bodyguards dead. Confronting the daimyo who had recognized him, the
Fool killed him. Later,
the Fool met the Ronin Who Cannot Die and told him that he had killed
the daimyo. The Ronin grew angry because he wanted to kill the daimyo
himself and now he had lost his purpose to live.
(Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe I#4) - The Fool was one of the many alternate reality versions of Earth-616's Deadpool seen by Dreadpool of Earth-12101 when he entered the Nexus of All Realities.
(Deadpool Kills Deadpool I#4) - At some point, the Fool joined the Deadpool Corps. The Fool was seen coming to the rescue of Deadpool of Earth-616 and Pandapool of Earth-51315 alongside other Deadpools of the Multiverse. Later, the Fool was killed by an assassin Deadpool of Earth-13124.

The Fool was named Deadpool on the cover of 5 Ronin I#5 and in promotional materials. He was never called that in-story.

& weight were approximated from that of his Earth-616 counterpart,
