History:
(Sable & Fortune#3 (fb) - BTS) - Jasper was so skilled at hacking computer systems that his file
was known to the major intelligence agencies of the world.
(Sable & Fortune#1 (fb) - BTS) - A great bad luck hit Jasper, when
he was randomly picked up among many other young people, in a night
club, by Boros and Sobczak. Boros and
Sobczak, soldiers and mercenaries, worked for Silver Wolf, the leader of
an illegal shadow organization that needed guinea pigs for its
experiments.
Jasper was kidnapped, taken out of town in the south
of France and injected a serum that transformed people in assassins, at
the pronunciation of a code-phrase.
Silver Wolf was actually Andreas Vadas,
second-in-command of the Wild Pack, who was secretly seizing control of
the mercenary organization led by Silver Sable.
Jasper had to play a dual role. Firstly Vadas had set things up to lure Silver Sable where he was held prisoner. Secondly, when Sable would spell the triggering phrase, Angevine would be transformed in a killing machine and would murder Silver Sable, taking her by surprise. All of this would have been video-transmitted to a remote location where Vadas would have showed the serum effects to Mr. Albasini. Albasini was the leader of a terrorist organization: the Sword of Glory, the first acquirer of the serum created by Vadas' chemists.
(Sable & Fortune#1) - Jasper, fortunately for him, had rich parents who hired a private investigator to find their son. The investigator was Dominic Fortune. The tracks led Fortune to cross paths with Silver Sable. They joined together to find Angevine.
Jasper was held captive for three weeks until Silver Sable and Dominic Fortune freed him, after beating Boros and Sobczak.
(Sable & Fortune#2) - Sable spelled the triggering phrase, so
Jasper took a gun and shot at her, wounding Fortune, instead. Sable
had to knock him out.
Later, in a safe house in Marseille, Silver Sable
boosted Jasper's motivation, and convinced the boy to help her to take
down the criminal organization that kidnapped innocent people to
transform them into killing machines.
So,
Jasper became the technical assistant of the field operators: Sable
and Fortune.
(Sable & Fortune#2) - Back in Symkaria, Sable paid a peaceful
distracting visit to Vadas, in his heavily guarded apartment.
Meanwhile Fortune, disguised as a Wolf Pack member,
infiltrated into the room under Vadas' apartment, to set-up a
"bridge" hard-disk recorder
on the ceiling. Jasper coordinated their moves by computer:
the hard-disk copied some data from the laptop. The mission
got complicated when the hard-disk was flung out of the
window.
(Sable & Fortune#3) - Sable jumped out the window,
picked the disk up in mid-air then succeeded in grabbing
Fortune, too. They escaped and took the disk to Angevine.
The young hacker decrypted the stolen data,
incomplete, but could discover that Vadas wanted to sell the
serum to a terrorist group called "the Sword of Glory". He
also learned that there were other 6 sleeper killers like
himself and read the location where Vadas would have sold the
serum formula to the Sword of Glory: Castle Doom, upstate New
York!
Two
nights after, at the Castle, using his hacking skills again,
Angevine substituted the software that activated the sleepers and
stole the formula from Vadas' laptop. However, Silver Sable was not
satisfied and assaulted the mercenaries. Vadas deducted that the
hacking had been done by Angevine, and that the boy was very close
to the meeting point. He shoot out the triggering phrase so forcing
Angevine to attack. Angevine wrestled with Fortune. Fortune had to
knock the boy out but this but gave Albasini enough time to seize
Jasper's laptop, where the sleepers trigger software was ready to be
launched. Sable wasn't able to capture Vadas, but arrived just in
time to shoot Albasini. The leader of the Sword of Glory died.
Some local new stations helicopters arrived on
the scene. Silver Sable hid but Dominic Fortune did not. He was
filmed while transported Angevine in a safer location, and he was
addressed as the hero that foiled a "terrorist arms deal".
(Sable & Fortune#4 - BTS) - The data on the laptop were enough to synthesize an antidote. Sable and Fortune injected the antidote to all the sleepers, including Jasper and Sam Kurokawa who would become another assistant of Sable & Fortune.
Comments: Created by Brendan Cahill and John Burns.Angevine's triggering phrase was "single-malt sunrise".
When Angevine knocked Fortune down did not strike the killing blow, on
the contrary he left the investigator lying there.
When Sable & Fortune infiltrated into Vadas' apartments the Wild
Pack, officially, did not exist anymore, because Silver Sable had
dismissed it some days before. However, when Angevine was kidnapped, Boros and Sobczak (and Vadas) were still soldiers of the Wild
Pack.
