Real Name: Unrevealed;
    possibly Macho Gomez

Identity/Class: Extraterrestrial (race unrevealed) advanced technology-user

Occupation: Mercenary

Group Membership: (Presumably formerly?) Funtzel Intergalactic Towing and Recovery

Affiliations: Big Bertha (Ashley Crawford), Blackjack O'Hare, Blind Al (Althea), Bob: Agent of Hydra, Deuce, Sluggo, Taskmaster ("Tony Masters"), Weasel (Jack Hammer);
    formerly
Groot, Obb, Rocket ("Raccoon"), unspecified US government agents;
    possibly formerly Funtzel for threatening Obb;
    it is unrevealed whether
the semi-humanoid and suicidally-depressed corn-people were friends or enemies of Macho...they apparently at least distracted him from the conflict with Deadpool

Enemies: Beekos the Keeper, Dap, Deadpool (Jack; aka Wade Wilson), Devin-9 guards, Drakillars, Ex-Terminators (General Amalya and others), Groot, Reginald Harris and his family, KakObb, Rocket ("Raccoon"), Space Hawk, the Thing that Would Not Shave, Woodro;
    possibly
Funtzel

Known Relatives: Orksa (widow (if he's dead) or estranged wife (if not); Funtzel (brother-in-law)

Aliases: "Extra-Terrestrial Guerrilla Force" (I forget who called him that);
    "%&#$#& clown," "Hairy booger," "no-name dingleberry from outer space" (all from Deadpool)

Base of Operations: Unrevealed;
    apparently destroyed in explosion in Cable's underground Colorado weapons cache;
    formerly a prisoner within the space prison Devin-9 (location unrevealed);
    formerly
the Funtzel Intergalactic Towing & Recovery space station, star system and galaxy unidentified;

First Appearance: Deadpool IV#32 (March, 2011)

Powers/Abilities: Macho Gomez is an experienced warrior and is notoriously difficult to destroy.

    He utilizes muco-sheath armor, which would seem to apparently contain/constrain his mucoid form within an exoskeleton sheath. It is unrevealed whether his true form is that of a humanoid biped or whether he is perhaps completely amorphous without his muco-sheath armor.
    What is he, some sort of mollusk?

    Macho briefly wore highly durable Drakillar pelts bonded to his muco-sheath armor, granting him their enhanced durability and a pair of wings, with which he may have been able to fly. It also gave him sharp claws on each of his fingers and allowed him to stretch/extend his limbs and stun Deadpool and Rocket with a single punch, so perhaps it enhanced his strength.

    He has "Macho" tattooed on lower lip...and an odd central antenna-like projection from the top of his head with a spherical mass on the end..like some creepy elf-hat...macho_gomez-dp36-flamethrower

    He often (but not always) wore what appeared to be some sort of breathing device extending from his nose to tanks on his bank. He sometimes wore a transparent helmet over his head

    Macho tends to use technology that seem to be a hybrid of an organic being (often something aquatic) and a mechanical device.

    He typically wears what appears to be the ceph-part of a cephalod pod on his head (even around his helmet), at least serving as a sun-visor, if nothing else.

    He drives a vehicle known as the Machomobile, although he once at least seemed to refer to it as Rose.

    He wields a hand-held blaster weapon around which some sort of tendril-possessing creatures typically wraps itself.
    He may have multiple similar weapons.

    He has (or had) a fish-gun weapon and an atmospheric fish-helmet he allowed Rocket to use.

    In desperate times, he has used his Guppy Warp to escape overwhelming odds.

    Deadpool used alien pineapple grenades against him, and I assumed they had been stolen from Macho's vehicle, but I don't think that was confirmed.

    He had a reputation as "the baddest, most feared operator in the galaxy." He also has a reputation as a drunk and for running out of fuel and needing to be towed in his "Machomobile."

Height: Unrevealed (he appears to be a little taller than the 6'2" Deadpool, so perhaps 6'4" to 6'6")
Weight: Unrevealed (is he mucus-oid material contained within a sheath of unrevealed origin? Is he just an alien with a big gut and skinny legs?)
Eyes: Sometimes glower red, but possibly due to goggles he wore. In his latter appearances, he wore a sea-star/starfish type creature over his left eye, with a central hole through which he could see.
Hair: Apparently none

History:

(Deadpool IV#33 (fb) - BTS) - Funtzel Intergalactic employed extraterrestrial mercenary Macho Gomez to help Obb with repossessions.macho_gomez-dp32-rearview-beltdown

(Deadpool IV#33 (fb) - BTS) - Macho married Funtzel's sister, Orksa.macho_gomez-dp32-face-closeup

(Deadpool IV#33 (fb) - BTS) - Macho convinced Orksa that Funtzel Intergalactic should branch out into skip-traces, bond revocations, and...other stuff.

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) - Extraterrestrial mercenary Macho Gomez heard of terrestrial mercenary Deadpool, but he was unimpressed.

(Rocket Raccoon II#2 (fb) - BTS) - Rocket and Macho had their share of run-ins.

    Macho heard Rocket note on multiple occasions that he was the only one of his kind.

(Deadpool IV#33 (fb) - BTS) - Kak, commander of the remaining Ongulian fleet,  attempted to hire Macho Gomez, via Funtzel Intergalactic, to destroy Id the Selfish Moon, but was turned down.

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) <Two years before the main story> - Reginald Harris hired Deadpool to steal an alien weapon on which Harris was a US government consultant at a New Mexico project.

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) - Deadpool brought the weapon to Harris' house.macho_gomez-dp32-topofhat-circuitryonback

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) - Harris founded Amalgamated Armaments, and the development of the weapon caused its stock to skyrocket.

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) - The tech Harris had stolen was on loan from an extraterrestrial guerrilla force that the US government had agreed to supply next-gen arms to in exchange for unlimited mineral rights. When the aliens found out the government had lost it, they identified Harris as the thief.

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) - Macho Gomez was hired to take down Harris.

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) - Using footage of Deadpool coming to his house with a large carrying case from when he delivered the weapon, Harris faked his death by blowing up his home and fleeing to an undisclosed location with his wife and daughter.
    Harris and his family were reported dead.

(Deadpool IV#32) - Macho Gomez confronted Deadpool in his Lucky 7 Motel room, telling him he had played him out of a large payday, and that he owed Macho Gomez some money. Macho further informed Deadpool that he had heard of him, and that while he was "hot-stuff on this little turd-ball planet o' yours, where ah come from? You ain't &%$#." Macho then advised Deadpool to give him every bit of loot he had on hand before he got impatient and took it out of his flesh.

    When Deadpool pretended to readily comply and headed toward the closet, Macho pointed his weapon at the back of Deadpool's head and advised him not to try anything stupid. Opening the safe, Deadpool showed Macho it was  just a bag of shiny new gold coins...and a dust old claymore mine at the bottom of it. As the bomb exploded and took down Macho, Deadpool proudly countered Macho's earlier taunt, noting "I am &%$#."

(Deadpool IV#32 - BTS) - Trying to be a hero, Deadpool resisted the urge to finish Macho off, and he instead traveled to Harris' home.

(Deadpool IV#32) - As Deadpool departed, Macho -- his hat or head bleeding -- peeled himself out of vehicle.

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) - Macho followed Deadpool to Harris.

(Deadpool IV#32 - BTS) - As Deadpool was preparing to kill Harris for framing him, Harris' daughter rushed up and told Deadpool not to shoot her daddy. Touched, Deadpool began to walk away, telling Harris to continue to "stay dead," but Harris offered to pay Deadpool to kill Macho Gomez, explaining that Macho was the "baddest, most feared operator in the galaxy," and that if Deadpool took him down, no one would ever think about coming after him or his family again.macho_gomez-dp32-battlevestdoh

(Deadpool IV#32) - Surprised that Macho was supposed to be the best, Deadpool mocked him as a "%&#$#& clown," until Macho loaded his weapon behind Deadpool's back and asked why he wasn't laughing.

    As Macho opened fire, Deadpool dove to cover Harris and his family, taking numerous bullets in the back, and he accepted Harris' offer, at no further charge.

    Having cased Harris' place the night before, Deadpool instructed Harris to take his family to the bunker.

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) - Deadpool gave Harris a note, telling him when it looked liked he (Deadpool) was done for to initiate the launch of his escape pod but not to get in it, adding "Trust me."

(Deadpool IV#32) - After retrieving a bigger gun, Macho attacked anew.

(Deadpool IV#32 (fb) - BTS) - Deadpool fled into the woods and then cut off his own right arm and left it pinned to a tree.

(Deadpool IV#32) - Believing Deadpool to be slumped against the far side of a tree, Macho approached, noting that Deadpool, despite his fancy pea-shooters and funny costume, was out of his league as he was nothing but a human. Deadpool then tackled Macho, knocking his gun out of his hand and sending him against the tree, after which Deadpool detonated "alien pineapple grenades" he had pre-placed there. Macho rushed out of the explosion on foot, while Deadpool was knocked high into the air.

(Deadpool IV#32 - BTS) - Reginald Harris took his wife and daughter with him to initiate the launch of his escape pod.

(Deadpool IV#32) - Macho used his gun to blow a hole into and then enter Harris' bunker. Finding the escape pod, he noted it to be pretty clever as he opened its door, after which Deadpool kicked him and slammed the door. After the escape pod took off, Deadpool used Macho's gun to blow it out of the sky and then noted that he had beaten Macho with one arm tied behind his back (literally).

(Deadpool IV#32 - BTS) - Deadpool took Macho's vehicle and departed for space.

(Deadpool IV#33) - After Macho's ship ran out of fuel, a distress signal was sent and received by Obb, who assumed Macho to be stuck (again) and brought the ship back to Funtzel Intergalactic.

(Deadpool IV#33) - Upon arrival, Obb told Funtzel that Macho had run out of fuel again, and Funtzel wondered if Macho was wasted. After Obb responded, "...probably..." Deadpool interjected, claiming to have been the one who wasted Macho. While Funtzel was stunned that the powerful Macho had been slain and pointed out that there would be consequences for doing that, Orksa attacked Deadpool; however, Deadpool convinced Orksa to marry him instead, leading Funtzel to reluctantly welcome Deadpool to the business as his new step-brother.

(Deadpool IV#33) - Deadpool responded in the affirmative when Funtzel asked him if he intended to continue where Macho left off.macho_gomez-dp36-facenohelmet

(Deadpool IV#36 (fb) - BTS) - Having survived Deadpool's assault, Macho began tracking Deadpool. What he found led him to the impression that Deadpool wasn't very popular.

macho_gomez-dp36-mostfull (Deadpool IV#36 (fb)) - Macho tracked down Weasel, letting him out of some sort of safe room in which Deadpool had locked him. Grateful that it wasn't Deadpool, Weasel hugged and thanked him before rushing to his refrigerator to eat. When Macho noted that he was looking for Deadpool, Weasel noted that he couldn't help him, but that if he found Deadpool, he wanted him to blow his head apart. Macho questioned if Weasel and Deadpool weren't friends, and Weasel noted Deadpool's numerous betrayals. After Weasel continued that there were a lot of people who wanted to see Deadpool dead, Macho asked where he could find those people.

(Deadpool IV#36 (fb)) - Macho met with Big Bertha, Blind Al, Deuce, Sluggo, Taskmaster, Weasel, all of whom agreed to join together to "Make that sumbitch pay for once."

(Deadpool IV#36 (fb) - BTS) - Macho +/- others asked Bob, Agent of Hydra, to join them against Deadpool. Bob either agreed to join them or at least agreed to text Macho and crew when Deadpool showed up at his place.

(Deadpool IV#36 - BTS) - When Deadpool returned to Earth and sought out Bob, Bob texted Macho and crew.

(Deadpool IV#36) - Reasoning what Bob had done, Deadpool promised to kill him last as Macho and his allies arrived. Identifying the others but calling Macho a "no-name dingleberry from outer space," Deadpool resolved to kick all of their @$$es at the same time and charged them. Dodging Macho's fire, Deadpool vaulted off of his shoulder to confront Big Bertha.

    When Macho took aim at Deadpool, Deadpool mockingly told him that his wife really knew her was around a Crisco kiddy pool. As Macho called Deadpool a "son of a..." and fired his flame-thrower at him, Deadpool leapt out of range and shot the flamethrower's fuel tank, causing it to explode.

    Macho was knocked back into a chamber containing semi-humanoid and suicidally-depressed corn-people mutated into that form by Bob, and Macho wondered what Bob had been doing in there.

(Deadpool IV#36 - BTS) - Bertha, Blind Al (with Deuce helping her aim), Taskmaster, and Weasel soon opened fire on Deadpool and then left him for dead. Upon reviving, Deadpool shot Bob, the only one who had stuck by him, in the leg.

(Rocket Raccoon II#2 (fb) - BTS) - Macho had just recovered his vehicle when Rocket turned Macho in "for that thing on Penagos," which led to Macho being imprisoned in Devin-9.

(Rocket Raccoon II#2 (fb) - BTS) - Seeking to link up with Macho Gomez in hopes of talking to his boss, Funtzel, to learn who was framing him for murders, Rocket Raccoon turned himself over to a police force and requested he be imprisoned in the maximum security prison Devin-9. Having smuggled in a splinter of Groot, Rocket enlisted him in his mission.

macho_gomez-rr2-2-chokerocket(Rocket Raccoon II#2) - When Rocket located Macho amidst chaos in prison yard Block Z and asked for his aid, Macho apparently knocked Groot down and began to throttle Macho. Rocket clarified that he wanted to talk to Funtzel, and he promised to make Macho wealthy via "super-space royalty money" courtesy of his teammate Star-Lord.

    As Macho joined Rocket and Groot in breaking out of Devin-9, Rocket explained how he was being framed, and Macho asked what Funtzel, the owner of a towing company, was going to do to help him with a murder rap, and Rocket told him they both knew that Funtzel and his crew were into other things, and that he felt Funtzel could give him information on anyone off the grid. Amused at the idea of the Guardians of the Galaxy slumming it up with Funtzel, Macho considered that this was too good to pass up, and he had them stop off at the impound to retrieve his vehicle and get a change of clothes.

    As they recovered the vehicle, Rocket correctly identified its previous thief as Deadpool, and he warned Macho that while people thought Deadpool was a joke, "he'll cut ya, believe that."

    En route, Macho warned Rocket not to yell "Lost in Space" when they were trying to sort out where they were (as prison planets weren't on any sort of map app), but Rocket did it anyway. They then encountered the Ex-Terminators, a fleet of ships piloted by women who had been jilted by Rocket, led by General Amalya. As the fleet prepared to attack, Macho noted that they'd need to pull out the heavy artillery, and he gave Rocket some aquatic-creature-like space helmet and another aquatic-creature-like weapon.

(Rocket Raccoon II#3) - When Rocket noted that he knew Macho was one nasty hombre but that he didn't know there were whole armadas after him, Macho showed Rocket evidence on one of the ships (a picture of a raccoon skull and a note, "Die Rocket") that they were actually after Rocket. After Rocket sarcastically replied to his query of why the fleet wanted him dead, Macho informed him that they were low on ammo and he (Macho) was low on wanting to get killed for him (Rocket), so was resorting to the guppy warp to get them to Funtzel's alive.

macho_gomez-rr2-3-gun    The guppy warp brought them to a rough landing on the planet Sendak in the Maxo Quadrant, and Macho made Groot drag the incapacitated vessel (Rose?) rather than waiting for a tow, as neither it nor its paint job could survive the heat of the planet's four suns. When Macho again questioned how Funtzel would be any help in this situation, telling him he wasn't buying his simplistic answer, Rocket told Macho that he had bought him, so he should just do his job and lead the way. When Macho leveled his weapon at Rocket and told him that no one bought Macho Gomez, Groot through Macho on his back and carried him until Macho apologized to Rocket and was let down on the ground.

    As they approached Funtzel's compound, they encountered Woodro and Dap, who were serving as Funtzel's guards/muscle, Macho repeatedly mocked them, noting that they had been promoted from weekend vomit removal supervisors to full-blown bad guys. Rocket tried to broker a peaceful interaction until Woodro referred to Rocket as a raccoon, at which point Rocket savagely beat up the pair as well as other members of Funtzel's squad, who showed up as back-up. He left one truck and its occupants unharmed to drive them and to tow Macho Gomez's vehicle to Funtzel's.

    Macho largely remained silent as Rocket met with Funtzel, although Funtzel did ask Macho if it wasn't funny how they were considered criminals for acting like thugs, while Rocket and his crew were called the Guardians of the Galaxy while performing similar actions.

(Rocket Raccoon II#3 - BTS) - Funtzel and Rocket subsequently met in private until they were confronted by Rocket's impostor.

(Rocket Raccoon II#4) - Having rushed back into Funtzel's office when the shooting had started, Macho and the others aimed their weapons at the raccoon (secretly the disguised Black Jack O'Hare). When the disguised O'Hare offered a deal to Macho, "You and these gentleman leave now and not only will I spare your life, but Funtzel will share the crate of Hyperiam gems I left with him out front." Acknowledging the value of a confirmed and immediate pay-off over what Rocket was hypothetically offering him, Macho accepted the deal and departed with his friends.

(Guardians Team-Up#10 (fb)  - BTS) - Deadpool sent an anonymous message or otherwise got word to Macho Gomez about a job to loot the "future Earth" technology of Cable's secret underground weapons cache in Colorado. At the same time, Deadpool put out a message on the "interstellar merc wires" for anyone who had a beef with Macho to come to that weapons cache to throw him a "hurt party."

    Realizing it was Deadpool putting out this message and considering even Cable's 39th century technology to be primitive compared to the interstellar tech to which he had access, Macho decided to join, intending to get rid of the other mercenaries to eliminate competition.

    At the same time, Macho founded that his Machomobile's snot-engine was clogged by an infection of Drakillar eggs. Macho found that the Drakillars' tough hides made good raw material for his muco-sheath armor.macho_gomez-gtu10-drakillared

    Macho traveled to Cable's base.

(Guardians Team-Up#10 (fb)  - BTS) - Frustrated with Orksa repeatedly telling him that he was not the man that Macho Gomez was, Obb decided to take Deadpool up on his offer and travel to Cable's base so he could smack Macho around a little to "get the heat back in the sheets."

(Guardians Team-Up#10 (fb)  - BTS) - Seeking vengeance for Macho's betrayal on Sendak, Rocket traveled to Cable's base.

(Guardians Team-Up#10 (fb)  - BTS) - Others traveling to Cable's base for vengeance on Macho Gomez included Beekos the Keeper, Space Hawk, and the Thing that Would Not Shave.

(Guardians Team-Up#10 (fb)  - BTS) - Macho captured Obb.

(Guardians Team-Up#10 (fb) - BTS) - Rocket and Deadpool apparently found the base overrun with Drakillars.

(Guardians Team-Up#10 (fb) - BTS) - Skinning, eviscerating, and exsanguinating a number of Drakillars, Macho used them as raw-materials for his muco-sheath armors.

(Guardians Team-Up#10) - After Rocket and Deadpool met up, Macho contacted them via a large viewscreen, noting that the "space bats"  had hatched from his Machomobile and were now hungry, scratching at the door of the room in which he had locked himself and telepathically telling they were going to turn them all into guano (bat (or bird) manure). Macho instructed them to rescue him or he would feed Obb to his muco-sheath armor.macho_gomez-gtu10-punchy

(Guardians Team-Up#10 - BTS) - Their conversation was interrupted when Beekos the Keeper blasted the viewscreen and -- alongside Space Hawk and the Thing that Would Not Shave -- sought vengeance on Deadpool for luring there under false pretenses. Deadpool and Rocket took down Beekos and Space Hawk and then left  the Thing that Would Not Shave for the Drakillars. Finding Cable's armory, Deadpool and Rocket took down a number of Drakillars before finding a number of Drakillars skinned, eviscerated, and exsanguinated.macho_gomez-gtu10-telesplosion

(Guardians Team-Up#10) - Now wearing Drakillar-hide armor, Macho ambushed and punched down Deadpool and Rocket, after which he explained what he liked about Deadpool: "Nothing! You're an annoying, backstabbing, wife-stealing idiot! But you're a predictable idiot. And overconfident, too." He then explained how he had appreciated the nature of the trap but had come anyway to eliminate competition and that the Drakillars were just raw material for his muco-sheath. He further noted that once he killed Deadpool, he would be back to being the baddest operator in the galaxy, and he then told Rocket that while he liked him, he knew he would never forget his betrayal.

    Having freed Obb and located Cable's bodyslide/teleporter technology, Deadpool teleported Rocket, himself, and Obb to safety; as he did so, Deadpool taunted Macho with the bodyslide technology and how it would explode or turn one inside out if it wasn't set to the right number of biomasses. With Macho bonded to perhaps 3-4 Drakillars, Deadpool locked a bodyslide by one on him: Macho bade Deadpool adios before he blew up.

Comments: Created by Daniel Way and Sheldon Vella.macho_gomez-dp32-cover

    I don't know exactly what the nature of Macho Gomez's power is, but he was good at surviving explosions that would seem to otherwise be fatal, so maybe the

    The cover of Deadpool IV#32 showed Macho Gomez with a mustache (that trailed down from within his nose).
    The actual story pictures I saw showed Macho with some sort of breathing apparatus that mimicked the appearance of a big mustache, but I don't think we saw him with any hair.

macho_gomez-dp49point1    I don't know exactly what the deal with Deadpool#49.1 was, but it was mostly a recap of Deadpool's relatively recent actions in the form of a musical.
    Macho Gomez and Orksa appeared in it, but it was likely either flashback, some sort of technological reproduction, actors portraying them or something else.
    Gomez appeared, singing his name, threatening to blow Deadpool away, and both unloaded a ton of bullets at each other.

    I'm going to give Macho's vehicle it's own profile...I'll go with Machomobile.

Profile by Snood.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Macho Gomez
should be distinguished from:

Macho Gomez's hand-weapon

macho_gomez-dp32-gun-dpfiremacho_gomez-dp32-gunMacho's weapon of choice was some sort of pistol with an amoeboid creature with an eyestalk and able to extend tendrils  from its body.

(
Deadpool IV#32) - Gomez wielded his organic-mechanical gun when first confronting Deadpool at the Lucky 7 Motel and when he followed Deadpool to Harris'' home. When he approached the escape pod believing Gomez was in it, Deadpool kicked him in, and he dropped his gun as he fell in. After the escape pod launched into the air, Gomez weapon approached Deadpool, wrapping a tendril around his leg as if asking him to use it to blow Gomez out of the sky. Regardless, Deadpool used the gun for that purpose....

(Rocket Raccoon II#2 (fb) - BTS / Rocket Raccoon II#3 (fb) - BTS) - Macho presumably recovered his gun when he recovered his car, but both were apparently impounded when he was sent to Devin-9.

(Rocket Raccoon II#2 - BTS) - Macho recovered his car and gun from the impound after escaping with aid from Rocket.

Rocket Raccoon II#3) - After arriving on Sendak, Macho threatened Rocket with this or a similar gun after Rocket told him to stop asking questions as he had bought him (hired his services).

--Deadpool IV#32

Note: Or maybe he had numerous organic-mechanical guns and they didn't just look a little different due to artistic license.

fish-gun

macho_gomez-rr2-2-fishgun     It is/was a fish-like creature with a gun coming out of its mouth. It could survive in space, was aimed by holding its pelvic, and expelled spent shell casing around such fins.

     When the Ex-Terminators attacked Rocket after they departed Devin-9 in the Machomobile, Macho noted that they'd need to pull out the heavy artillery, and he gave Rocket some aquatic-creature-like space helmet and another aquatic-creature-like gun-weapon.

     Rocket used the fish-gun to take out multiple Ex-Terminators ships.

--Rocket Raccoon II#2

fish-helmet

macho_gomez-rr2-2-bubblehelmetcreatureThe aquatic-looking creature could survive in space, and it's bubble-like thoraco-abdominal region contained either air or fluid through which an oxygen-breathing creature could breathe.

Either it or some other means allowed Rocket to survive space's near absolute zero cold unphased.

--Rocket Raccoon II#2 (3

Note: You can see it on Rocket's head in the image for the fish-gun.

guppy warp

macho_gomez-rr2-3-guppy-warp1

The "guppy warp" is an "ichthyoid" (not sure that's a word, but I mean fish-like) creature that can survive in space.

It can rapidly increase in size: From a starting point of perhaps 8" in diameter, it can grow/swell to perhaps 25' in diameter within seconds. In that form, it is virtually hollow, and it can ingest a small spacecraft, after which it can energize and warp interstellar distances. It then forcefully disgorges its contents before collapsing, apparently exhausted, and then begins to deflate.

     Macho did not seem to program or instruct it to go anywhere in particular, so perhaps it is telepathic or perhaps it was instructed off-panel.
macho_gomez-rr2-3-guppy-warp2
macho_gomez-rr2-3-guppy-warp3
(
Rocket Raccoon II#3) - When he, Rocket, and Groot were in danger of being overwhelmed by the Ex-Terminators fleet, Macho Gomez decided to resort to the Guppy Warp so they could make it to Funtzel's alive.

Rocket was excited as he wanted to see how these things worked, after which Gomez launched the creature into space, and then it grew rapidly and turned around. After Macho's ship was within the creature, it glowed with energy and vanished before the Ex-Terminators' blasts could strike it.
macho_gomez-rr2-3-guppy-warp4

macho_gomez-rr2-3-guppy-warp5It then reappeared in the atmosphere of the planet Sendak and then disgorged its contents, causing Gomez's ship to crash into the ground. It then dropped to the ground and began to "deflate."

--Rocket Raccoon II#3

Note: Obviously it doesn't absorb air or water to swell since it did so in outer space, so perhaps it simply stretches (as it seemed pretty hollow), or perhaps an energy charge allows it to take on additional mass. I don't know, it was a somewhat silly story, so I'm not going to over think it.
