PENTAGRAM OF FARALLAH
Classification: Magic SpellVersion: Conjuration
Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Pentagram of Farallah used the displacement aspect of the Fangs of Farallah spell to achieve a contemporary teleportation of 5 beings. Being a simple spell, it probably allowed teleportation only on the same plane of existence where it was cast.
Casting Time: a few seconds
Range: touch, between the targets
Components:
By the Fangs of Farallah, we
do implore
ye grant us passage through thy door.
Duration: Instantaneous
Primary effects: group teleportation; maximum
distance from the source: unrevealed, at least some miles.
Collateral effects: bright light emission in the
shape of a circumference, bad smell (like cat pee).
History:
(Avenging Spider-Man#8 (fb)) -
Doctor Strange needed to avoid a direct confrontation against Doctor
Doom. He took advantage of the situation because he had four allies
nearby and some seconds to cast the spell freely, because Doom was
distracted by Spider-Man. He cast the Pentagram of Farallah
teleporting Silver Sable, Princess Linka, a Wild Pack member,
Spider-Man and himself from an alley of New York to another alley.
Comments: Created by Ty Templeton and Dan Slott, Matt Clark and Sean Parsons.
Apparently no music nor sounds came out while the Pentagram was used.
In Ultimate Spider-Man Animated Series, Season 1 Episode 13:
Strange Day, Doctor Strange used a teleportation spell the shape of which was circular, but the symbol inscribed in the circle seemed a
Pentacle (not a Pentagram). It was the symbol on the main window of
Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum. The Doctor didn't call on any
Principality's name.
Other differences were the number of targets involved (only three) and
the otherworldly distance to the destination. The distance spanned two
different dimensions, from the real world to the Dream World.
The main basic difference is that the source Earth is an alternate
one.
The animated Episode was re-printed in Marvel Universe Ultimate
Spider-Man#21 and Marvel Universe Doctor Strange.

CLARIFICATIONS:
The Pentagram of Farallah
is very connected to the Fangs of
Farallah and quite connected to the
Talons
of Farallah, but has no known connections to:
A Pentagram
spell (Earth-199999 (Marvel Cinematic Universe))
Classification: Magic Spell
Creator: Unrevealed
User/Possessors: Doctor
Stephen Strange
First Appearance: Doctor Strange: Multiverse
of Madness (2022)
Version: Conjuration
Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Pentagram is primarily used as a ranged
attack. Under the right conditions it can counterspell other sound
damage-based spells.
Casting Time: A few
seconds
Range: Short (30 feet) or more
Components: Somatic, at least: arms/hands/fingers
movement
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
Primary effects: A Pentagram appears before the
caster, with some notes inscribed onto it. The Pentagram is almost
wide as the caster's spread arms. With a simple gesture, the caster
can hurl the Pentagram at his enemy. A struck would
suffer physical damage, and would be pushed away. The hit causes a
resonance, a sort of vibration which apparently splits the target into
multiple versions of himself, each of them very close to the original
one, but more ore less impaired by the vibration, for few seconds.
The Pentagram worked as a perfect means of defense
when captured musical notes from a hostile enchantment,
such as notes that had been transformed and used as projectiles.
Collateral effects: Purple or golden light emission and
aura around the Pentagram. Music (see comments).
History:
(Doctor
Strange: Multiverse of Madness)
- Two Doctors Strange battled against each other dueling for the
possession of a tome of the Darkhold. The first Doctor to use music to
attack drew notes from some musical scores and flung them to hit the
one in possession of the tome. The second Doctor, the evil one,
defended himself erecting a barrier with the rows of the Pentagram,
capturing the notes, then counterattacking with the entire resulting
score. The first Doctor reduced the damage thanks to a magic shield,
nonetheless he was pushed back by the explosion and was affected by
the consequential vibrations. The good Doctor recollected the spread
notes and shot another musical charge. The first Doctor used again the
Pentagram to capture the notes and hurl multiple charges of
Pentagrams, but this time the shielding Pentagrams of the good Doctor
resisted.
Comments: Created by Sam Raimi
It is unrevealed if the resonance effect has a sort of connection with the vibrational properties of alternate universes, which would explain the presence of alternate versions of the target, drawn by their respective Universes in that single time-space point for few seconds.
The first Doctor
Strange attacked using Beethoven's "Fifth Symphony", while the
evil Strange replied with Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor";
the music resulting from the whirl of the two musical streams was a
different one ("Lethal Symphonies" by Danny Elfman).
