History:
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#25/1 (fb) ) -
Before the creation of the Genesis Coalition, there was Hydra, and a
faction led by Ivan Trefkov.
When Hydra captured Fritz Sablinova, they brought him to Trefkov. Trefkov tortured
Sablinova, who lost his sanity and conceived the plan of destroying
Hydra working from the inside. He convinced Trefkov to create the
Genesis Coalition by acquiring soldiers and stealing resources from Hydra.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#10 (fb) - BTS) - It was actually Ivan Trefkov who had gathered some of the older faction of Hydra and had created the Genesis Coalition.
(Silver Sable and the Wild
Pack#6 (fb) - BTS) - The
Genesis Coalition became independent from Hydra.
(Silver Sable and the Wild
Pack#25/1 (fb) ) - One of the best assets of the
Coalition was Ernst
Sablinova, kept prisoner to drain him of his secrets
and strategies. The old enemy was used as a living computer for
intelligence and tactical purposes.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#9
(fb) - BTS) - Coalition
soldiers had been trained by Hydra and followed
some of the same security protocols used in Hydra. Thus many of them took a sacred oath to protect the
Coalition, and were ready to
die for it.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#9 (fb) - BTS / Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#19/2 (fb) ) - At the base hidden in the rainforest in Peru, inhuman experiments on human subjects were carried out by Franz Lubischt. The purpose was to create the perfect super soldier by combining the DNA of humans and animals, then, to start a war to lead the Aryan race to conquer the World.
(Deathlok II#19 - BTS) - Silver Sable discovered that some Cyberwarriors, powerful cyborgs without sentient brains, had been sold to her enemies of the Genesis Coalition, so she started investigating.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#6) - Dmitri
Petrovich and a team of operatives went into the jungle to
retrieve an escped specimen, a human/monkey hybrid.
Paladin, hired by Silver Sable, was spying on
them. Discovered, he had to fight three Coalition soldiers, meanwhile
Petrovich fled with the specimen and ordered his men to capture Paladin and bring him to the rendezvous point dead alive.
Paladin
captured one of the soldiers and threatened him with his superhuman strength. He learned about the Coalition, its objectives and the men who
led it.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#8) - At the base, Trefkov and Petrovich questioned Lubischt's work, because it took too much time to get useful results. They agreed to wait another two weeks for Lubischt to complete his research. Meanwhile, Dmitri had planted false evidence in order to blame Hydra. Their plans were ruined by the attack of the Wild Pack that invaded the base and freed the captive subjects. Silver also killed Lubitsch, but the other leaders escaped. During that fight, Petrovich told Sable that her father was not dead.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#10 (fb) - BTS) - The smuggler Leviathan supplied Petrovich and the Genesis Coalition with stolen Hydra technology.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#10) - Silver Sable assumed that her father was held captive by the Genesis Coalition.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#11) - The Genesis Coalition took over a formidable sea base from Hydra. In the Mediterranean Sea, they were setting up their army of Cyberwarriors. The aim was the assault of Wundagore mountain in Transia.
(Silver Sable and the Wild
Pack#12 (fb) - BTS) - After
conquering a base in Transia, the next target of the Coalition would
have been Latveria.
(Silver Sable and the Wild
Pack#11) - About
three hours before the attack on Transia, the underwater base was assaulted by the
Wild Pack helped by Stingray.
Almost in the same moment other mercenaries, the Next Wave, paid by
Hydra, assaulted the base as well. A garrison of Cyberwarriors
was dispatched to eliminate the Wild Pack and found the Next Wave too.
The rest of the cyborgs was sent to Transia to conquer Mount
Wundagore.
(Silver Sable and the Wild
Pack#12) - On the bridge,
Trefkov and Petrovich ascertained that the damages brought by the
mercenaries was destroying the base. Nonetheless, their army was ready
because more than 30 Cyberwarriors
were going to assault Mount Wundagore. The two leaders left the station
in an aircraft.
Once they reached Transia, Siege,
a Cyberwarrior inhabited by Jonh Kelly's conscience, intercepted their forces. Meanwhile, Fritz
Sablinova, still on the sinking base, donned his armor and
attacked Silver Sable, trying to convince her not to interfere. Then he
teleported away.
The battle at Mount Wundagore escalated. A few Knights
of Wundagore struck back, fighting on their flying artificial steeds.
Their counterattack impressed the Coalition's leaders, who abandoned the
field. Right then the Wild Pack and the Next Wave arrived, entering the
fray of battle and finally defeating the army of cyborgs.
(Silver Sable and the Wild
Pack#23/1 (fb) - BTS) - The
Genesis Coalition transferred its forces to an old abandoned Hydra base
below Earth's surface.
(Silver Sable and the Wild
Pack#23/1 (fb) - BTS) -
Trefkov and Sablinova hired Deadpool for capturing Silver Sable.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#23/1)
- Deadpool found some
complications when Daredevil helped Sable. Sable paid him triple of
his rates to get rid of him and to learn that the Genesis Coalition was after
her.
(Silver Sable and the Wild
Pack#23/1) - Trefkov, tired
of Petrovich's failures, had him imprisoned. Meanwhile, the Coalition
was organizing a full-scale war in Bosnia, in order to put the blame on
Hydra. Hydra would have taken the fall, and the Coalition would have
picked up the pieces.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#24/1
- BTS) - Disguised as Hydra
forces, the Genesis Coalition's army attacked Bosnia. In those days,
Bosnia was already torn by the civil, racial war, and the United Nations
had forbidden S.H.I.E.L.D. to intervene on the scene.
Long before his imprisonment, Petrovich had founded a faction
loyal to him. A legion of men was ready for his return.
During the Bosnian conflict, Dmitri Petrovich was freed by his loyal
soldiers and flew to Symkaria where he lured Silver Sable to go to the
Coalition's stronghold.
(Silver Sable and the Wild Pack#25/1
- BTS) - The onslaught
created by the Genesis Coalition's forces spread over Bosnia. Disguised
as Hydra stormtroopers, they attacked the U.S. soldiers. Bosnian
officials had to deny any alliance with the terrorists. The hypothesis
of a third World War was becoming more and more concrete.
The chaos increased with the arrival of S.H.I.E.L.D.,
Nick Fury and real Hydra forces. They all attacked the Coalition's
stormtroopers. However, the Coalition employed a battle-cruiser stolen from
Hydra. Trefkov piloted it in an attempt to kill Baron Strucker, but failed. System
Crash tried to retaliate, but Trefkov followed Fritz
Sablinova's suggestion and cloaked the battle-cruiser.
Meanwhile, Silver Sable, the Wild Pack and the
Foreigner succeeded in finding Ernst Sablinova and destroying the
Coalition submarine in the Black Sea.
The Intruders also landed in Bosnia and fought
against the Coalition. They even crossed System Crash's path and
confronted Fritz Sablinova. The Hydra imposters were devastated. Fritz,
seeing with his own eyes that his plan to destroy Hydra had failed,
retreated to the battle-cruiser.
There he found Silver Sable, that had just
killed Trefkov in cold blood.
Fritz, gone completely insane, attacked his niece. She avoided all his attacks, wanting to
save him, but the Foreigner recognzed that he was too dangerous and shot
him in the back, killing him.
The Genesis Coalition was vanquished.
Comments: Created by Gregory Wright, Steven Butler & James Sanders III.
The Genesis Coalition soldiers sometimes had a number on the
forehead, sometimes on the chest, sometimes they did not.
Other operatives wore the same suits as Hydra operatives but with
different colors.
One of Lubischt's experiments gave good results: Malcom Murphy became
Man-Eater, who became a super-powered member of Silver Sable International.
Lubischt knew Murphy's research and Murphy
went hunting right near the Coalition base.
Unlikely?
Anyway, I suppose that the experiment that Lubischt wanted to make
on Murphy was based on some (mystical)
elements of Murphy's research. So the evil scientist set up a false track
to lure Murphy into "that" area of the rainforest, where the Coalition
could capture him.
Even so, this plan took too much effort for Lubischt and the Coalition. Why
too much?

Franz Lubischt
Lubischt was a scientist in activity
during WWII at Auschwitz, yet. His specialization was genetics and his
research was directed to create a super-soldier.
He was ruthless and cold-blooded about his
experiments. He gave no value to human life, if it served to his
research.
Lubischt allied with the
Genesis Coalition; there he sought to create the
perfect super-soldier through experiments on human subjects (including
Malcom Murphy).
His work involved serums to be injected into human
subjects, mainly south American natives. Many of them were chemically
altered, and some of them were transformed, assuming animal features and
abilities. Some of them lost their mental sanity.
The experiments tested various types of energy on the
subjects' physiology. They were rather painful but Lubischt was
completely ruthless when applied them.
The mutations were also tested on animals, like the
monkeys in the rain forest.
However, Petrovich was unhappy about
the results. He menaced Lubischt, demanding that the super-soldiers
would be ready in a week.
Lubitscht reckoned that two weeks could be sufficient. Shortly after, the base
was attacked by the Wild Pack, and Lubitsch was killed by Silver Sable.
